Unfortunately the swimming pool had broken down a few days before and it had only been fixed just before we arrived therefore it was a bit cold. Plus the relaxation room could have been a bit more relaxing however except for that I had an amazing day and the staff were great. Thank You Very Much x
Everything was just wonderful. Staff were great especially the man on reception Wayne he was a joy. Great welcome from him.
Best spa day I have been on. Would highly recommend. Staff were so friendly especially the receptionist and refreshments were always checked on and topped up.
The spa upstairs is lovely, very relaxing and the staff cann't do enough for you, very polite and courteous. I enjoyed my treatments with Gabriela! The massage was lovely and she really worked on the tight spots I have in my back. My facial was also great. I have sensitive skin and have had bad reactions to the products used in other places but these products were lovely and have made a noticeable difference 5 days on. She also gave me some great tips without being overly pushy on selling the products they use there. The gym is well stocked with free weights and cardio equipment. The jacuzzi is a bit cold and the steam room and sauna are ok. The pool was fine, they had a cordoned off lane just for swimmng which was good. There weren't many beds or seats and it really lacked any sort of atmosphere atall. We didnt stay very long there, an hour max. We then went for the afternoon tea which I wouldnt recommend. You get three fingers of sandwiches and 1 fairly dry scone and then a plate of different cream cakes, none of which were very good. Between the three of us we didnt finish a single one of them. The lunch looked better so would go for that if I went again. Overall the spa is lovely and I probably would go again for the price but its definitely not a full day activity!
We had a lovely spa weekend, the treatment was wonderful as were the spa facilities upstairs. The pool access was a bit dirty every time we went and the luxury of the upstairs spa didn't quite extend to downstairs at the pool area.
The hotel itself was lovely with friendly helpful staff and I would definitely stay here again for a city break!
