Disappointing Spa experience. My first time visiting this venue. I did not use the Aroma steam rooms for more than a few minutes each as they both had a strong smell of mould which was unpleasant to breathe in and then it quickly became uncomfortable to sit in because It felt unhealthy. As I first entered the hot steam room, my leg brushed against something metal by the door which was extremely hot. It was not visible in the steam and so didn't see it. I reported this to reception staff and asked to see the manager about it. The manager did not arrive.
While I waited for the manager to arrive, I helped myself to a class of complimentary orange water however, a member of staff asked me not to drink it as it was water from the day before and had not been replaced by fresh water so she quickly removed the dispenser.
The venue does not have a Hydrotherapy pool as mentioned in the Treatwell listing.
My body scrub by therapist Lucy was very and the product was lovely.
I did not get to use the sauna as it was full so decided not to stay at the spa for the full duration.
I appreciate the Spa is one of the oldest in London but I would not recommend following this visit. The steam rooms need immediate attention.
The reception staff were apologetic and helpful.
