Outside we wondered where we were going into but inside this place rocks!! 3 steam rooms, sauna, plunge pool, dry heat room etc. This place seems endless! We also got a robe, slippers and towel. Lovely facial we had the algie one, which smells quite strong but left the skin feeling and looking amazing. Very clean, the mob deal was such great value, i will defo return!
I went with my friend. The spa was a perfect place to unwind & relax. I bought a Wahanda Mob Deal...£25 for a 55mins Marine Algae body wrap & Thermal spa experience which was a bargain...but without this deal it would normally cost £75 which I don't think is worth it! The treatment room, reception area, changing room & thermal rooms were very clean & to a high standard & my therapist Tiffany was lovely. Overall this experience was really good & I would definately recommend this spa to my friends.
The Spa facilities are really nice - sauna, two steam rooms, various hot rooms and beds to lie on and then the ice facilities - ice fountain, monsoon shower, plunge pool. My friend and I spent an hour and a half in the spa bit and left feeling very relaxed. We then had marine body wraps - starts with a salt exfoliating rub which I found a bit abrasive. The marine mud smelt really fishy, would have been nice to have had some essential oils in or something to mask the smell a bit. The experience was quite relaxing but my therapist kept putting things away and opening cupboards throughout which kind of broke up the relaxing mood a bit! Overall pleased with the experience but more because of the spa facilities than the treatment.
Loved: Variety of steam rooms, and turkish baths which were scented, space to lounge around, professional staff, Tea room had wet towels on all the chairs which the staff refused to change as otherwise they would be changing them all day
I went to York Spa on a Sunday afternoon. The number of heated rooms is impressive and it wasn't too busy. It is a highly relaxing experience. Whilst I was there, I also had a facial - on the Wahanda deal. My therapist was professional and the facial was very relaxing. The bed is heated and set on a slight downward tilt with your feet being at the higher end and your head at the lower end.
