I have a sensitive skin and want to know what kind of effect the treatment will have.

You would be given a consultation before hand to assess your skin type, if your skin is more sensative in certain areas the treatment will avoid those places.

Hi
Thanks very much for your enquiry!
All skins vary from sensitive to being normal! The CACI microdermabrasion has different tips for each skin type so it is suitable for sensitive skin!
If your skin is open ie spots etc then those areas are not treated with the microdermabrasion however I have a treatment which will reduce the redness and speed up the recovery.
The hydratone mask is also ideal for sensitive skin as it calms the skin after the microdermabrasion has been carried out!
If you need any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind Regards

I would rather recommend gentle chemical peel i.e. mandelic acid but your skin has to be assessed before both treatments and after both treatments your skin should be cooled down by using right soothing mask. No redness, discomfort or erythema should be present after any exfoliation.

I would say NO unless the procedure was performed by a very experienced, highly trained Skin Care Specialist. I have seen cases where individuals with normal skin have walked away from microdermabrasion with excessive erythema and have met individuals who insist that broken capillaries on their faces are the result of aggressive microdermabrasion. I would highly suggest speaking with your specialist about other exfoliation treatment options.

In principal, the answer is 'yes'. However, your therapist should assess your skin before the treatment can be carried out to make sure that the right products are going to be used during the treatment. Whatever place you choose to get microdermabrasion done, make sure that it is a professional registered place. You are welsome to call our microdermabrasion specialist 02072835800 if you have more questions.
