On arrival we were told we couldn’t choose when we could eat and were given a2o clock slot, this was so the kitchen did not get overwhelmed! Both male and female changing rooms did not have locks and we both had to go back to reception for keys. We ordered coffees and after 25 minutes had to go and remind staff we had ordered them. The jacuzzi was out of order. Pool temperature was good and although a small pool it wasn’t busy. There were no beds available and we had to sit on chairs. At 2pm we went over to restaurant having to go outside to gain entry. There were 3 tables occupied, after waiting more than 15 minutes we had to ask to be served. The food was nice and although we were told the baguette filling was turkey a beef baguette was served, this wasn’t a problem although would have preferred turkey and it was nice. The treatments were on time and were very nice. We went on a groupon and were glad we hadn’t paid full price, probably won’t return as have had much better service in nicer spas
It is what it is a cheap spa day. The greeting is in a disorganised reception and you have to complete a form. You then have to give a £10 deposit and you are handed a robe and towel. You can use the pool and steam rooms also the jacuzzi if it is not broken. There are seats and loungers for a rest and a read. You can order coffee or tea and there is a water dispenser. Someone comes to get you for your treatment but no hushed tones just a young lady calling your name! The therapy was ok, I had hand and foot softening it was ok and must have been restful as a slept! However my hands and feet were no softer and there was definite room for improvement. Beware,on that form you fill in there are extras you can book, these are not extra treatments but add ons for the ones you request. The food was extremely lack lustre although edible. All in all you get what you pay for and at least I was out of the house and away from chores. A final point, this is a spa, why do people have to have phones? Leave them at home or at least in your locker!
The spa was lovely just a shame the jacuzzi was out of order. Lovely treatment apart from leaving the room a few times while having the treatment.. just made it a little less relaxing with the door keep opening and being able to hear the sink being turned on and things being cleaned. Maybe leave it until the end when treatment was finished.
My wife and I arrived early,we were greated by a receptionist who explained everything to us.We got changed and our treatments started at 9.30am we were met by Tracey who was very pleasant and friendly. After our treatments my wife and I were totaly relaxed and we stayed for lunch which was most enjoyable.I would like to thank all the staff for a most enjoyable day.
First of impressions were it needed a good clean .😳Unfortunately the jacuzzi was broken so unavailable,i think we should have been informed prior to arriving and offered alternate date or free coffee or something 😡.The thing that saved the day was the staff were lovely and treatment was amazing from therapists 👍😀.
