Made to wait at the desk while the woman continued a conversation on the phone about shift cover and some people not wishing to work certain shifts and ignore me. Eventually spoken to, given a questionnaire to complete and taken to the treatment room. Very dated and in desperate need of a touch up. The treatment itself was poor. Whilst I was given a bikini wax, there were large parts that were ignored and others that too much attention was given to - leaving me red and burnt. At the time it looked ok but by the time I got home and peeled off my jeans (that had stuck to me) my bikini line was red, angry and uncomfortable. I won't be rerunning to have treatments here.
Good day but not a lot of room around the spa sauna etc as it had a lot of people in , meal was nice little expensive for what we got .
I booked for me and my friend under a wowcher deal which cost us over £60 for 2x 25 mins treatment which was fine. When we arrived this morning they had a third booking with us which was meant to be for 2x eyebrow wax and tint but because of this we couldn't have our eyebrows done which was disappointing as I had paid £32 by cars weeks previously. We had our treatments which i could not fault but we were rushed, we went to use the pool etc and the place was so hot we couldnt stay sitting around the pool, we went for dinner which was included in our deal and was really poor, my friends cup had lipstick mark on and i have two black hairs in my dinner and some of the staff were not friendly and didnt care. I had to get a refund for our eyebrows which is fair enough but that was it, the manager was a little snotty and even if we did get our eyebrows done we couldnt get them tinted as we never had a patch test which we were unaware of and no one told us of this, not an email nothing. The day was completely ruined all i wanted was to relax and have a nice time.
We went to this spa on their fantastic midweek spa day deal for £39 each. This is a hotel spa so has the usual basic faculties you would expect: pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and gym. The staff throughout were a credit to the hotel and some of the friendliest I have encountered, from the staff and therapists in the spa to the waiter in the restaurant. The lunch was fantastic. Two courses, lovely well cooked food and hugh portions. The treatments were lovely. Just remember when booking somewhere like this you get what you pay for, so you won't get a 5 star purpose built spa but you will have a great day!
Unfortunately couldn't take up the deal, but have been before and really enjoyed it. Used the facilities when attended a wedding here a few years ago. The spa is rather basic but the environment is lovely
