A disappointing visit.. 1 being given the option to have lunch between 12-3pm to then be told after our first treatment at 11.30am the only time available was 3pm & no priority is given to spa day users for lunch time slots...! Surely lunch should be booked in when you confirm your appointments!?
2.. Jacuzzi was out of order & had been for a few weeks not informed of this pre spa day or on our arrival!
3.. Towels & robes very shabby looking could do with updating them!
On a positive note the actual treatments were lovely just a shame jacuzzi not working as this was a spa day treat for my sisters birthday & she loves to bubble away!!
Over all enjoyed it, the meal in the restaurant was absolutely perfect and the guy on shift whom I believe his name was 'Dave' was both welcoming and very helpful. The only not so positives I could say about our stay was the cob webs in our room, they were huge and so many of them. It was rather off putting when going to sleep. And secondly our treatments were booked for 25 minutes, from when we were called to go down and by the time we had the treatments and getting changed again we were out by 20 minutes. Leaving possibly only 10 minutes of actually receiving the back neck and shoulder treatment that I paid for.
Building was lovely and staff were very friendly but the spa and the hotel are very tired and dated ,there was an extra charge for back , neck , shoulder massages that wasn’t explained on the website when booked. The robes that you hire whilst there were very worn and discoloured with ripped pockets ,and also we went as a couple and it would have been nice to have our treatments together rather than seperatly .
