Arrived for spa day with 2 course lunch and 2 treatments which were pre-booked. On arrival we were told that the restaurant was full, even though we had booked, so were directed to the empty brasserie which did not have a good ambience.
I ordered a pint of beer which tasted slightly off so returned it but they said it was fine, but did replace it with a pint from the main bar which was fine.
The staff were friendly but service took an age, as if we were forgotten about, so even though we arrived for lunch 1 1/2 hours prior to our treatments we were rushing to finish our main meal which only arrived 20 minutes prior to treatment time.
The treatments I had also seemed rushed, with the neck, shoulder and back massage fast and furious and not relaxing at all. Also on the pre-assessment form I specified a tightness and aching on one side of my neck but this was ignored. The facial was better but both of my treatments were finished before my partner's so I don't feel like I got the allotted
Lovely day, everything good. Improvement suggestion, more lounge beds,or time limit for existing ones ,to stop less considerate people from tying them up all day.
Brilliant staff, treatments and food. The changing facilities were poor toilets dirty no toilet paper and hand towels at one point. Heard several comments about lack of cubicles for privacy if needed. Water fountain handles/taps black gunge around them and one broken. Think it could have done with someone in spar area walking around picking up plastic cups/coffee cups and general cleaning.
