Visited spa section for 2 treatments and use of facilities. Upon arrival the hotel looks wonderful from the outside. However, inside is different altogether.
Spa treatments wonderful. Rooms were clean and the young lady whom did my facial and hand massage was professional and very at ease to talk to.
The spa facilities -oh dear. The female changing room as communal and beyond dirty. Showers don't drain, narrowly missed a rusty safety pin by my feet when using toilet. The sauna and steam room are very dated where missing light bulbs have been replaced with stuffed up plastic cups. Beside the swimming pool there was more dirt than outside. The staff use this as a constant walkway and whatever is on their feet is trampled through the spa area. Don't know why they can't wear shoe protectors as you don't get given slippers so all the brown dirt and scum went on my feet.
Lunch was a 2 course set menu meal. It was absolutely fabulas. The waitress had to serve the bar and food area and was just rushed off her feet.
We attended in the morning and had a arranged lunch at 1pm. By 2pm we left. By 4pm my friend threw up and I felt ill all evening and the following day.
I can't say if it was related or not but it is one dirty spa area.
To sum up. Food and treatments amazing. Spa facilities avoid
Enjoyed spa day, it was a very hot February day especially on the sun loungers. Massage itself went very quick could have done with more time but really enjoyed it thanks
