Treatment by All Beauty & Packages
It was an absolutely terrible experience. The massuse was 5-10 minutes late and appeared to want to get the treatment done as soon as possible.
She explained the treatment up front but upon seeing I was in a full face of make up, did not advise me to take this off (of all of the massages I've had before this has also not been necessary). Despite the fact that this treatment is offered at a spa, you don't have use of spa facilities, so you are coming in off the street and leaving to go back outside.
The masseuse absolutely drenched my body in oil, to the point that I was uncomfortable. I presumed this was just going to be in my body but she then did the same thing to my face and started to rub the oil into my eyes, despite the fact I had mascara on that hadn't been removed. I had to ask her to stop. She then started on the head massage without washing her hands, which ended up leaving me with soaking wet hair, except not water wet, but laden with grease. Upon seeing this at the end of the session, I was appalled. I have never ever experienced something like this before, where I ended up completely greased, make up smeared around my face and hair laden with grease. I asked her where I could take a shower and was told I was not supposed to.
Very upset, I asked to see the manager and asked her what her thoughts were on being asked to leave looking like I was - make up smeared everywhere and hair wet from oil and she said she would not be happy and not expect that kind of treatment, yet her level of care for rectifying my dissatisfaction for non existent. She said the best she could do was offer me a shower.
At the same time as I was complaining, another lady was also cancelling her treatment as she had been left waiting with no one attending to her for 15 minutes and was furious.
It is a really badly run establishment and the staff simply don't care about creating a nice experience. Even when I was clearly very upset, the manager in question didn't care. The treatment itself was not only lazy and inappropriate, but the technique was shoddy. The whole experience centeres around rubbing excessive oil into the skin rather than kneading any knots or tension. I came out more stressed than when I left, looking hideous and feeling completely mugged off. A truly terrible experience that I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
And I have a feeling this wasn't a one off.
