This was not 'aromatherapy' massage: the oil used smelled like plain vegetable or linseed oil.
I booked and paid for an hour but got 45 minutes (starting 10 minutes late despite my being early, ending 5 minutes ahead of schedule).
The treatment room smelled like burning dust - like an electric heater left on when it's not clean - and when I arrived there was laundry drying on the radiators. There was also no hole for the face on the massage table, meaning I had to uncomfortably lie with my head to the side, which any masseur will tell you is not good for the neck or shoulders.
When I arrived, despite booking, the staff looked surprised to see me and pretty p*ssed off about it too. I was told that I couldn't possibly have an hour's aromatherapy massage because they closed at 5pm (I arrived at ten to 4 for a pre-booked 4 o'clock appointment).
All in all I was made to feel unwelcome and as though I was putting them out. I was their only customer while I was there and frankly I can see why. I cannot in good conscience recommend this treatment or salon to anyone, and feel cheated out of the £50 I paid for a sub-standard massage that was both 15 minutes shorter than advertised and not at all as described.
