Excellent Spa afternoon with afternoon tea. All facilities very good, spent much of the afternoon in the outdoor jacuzzi enjoying the sunshine and views. Massage excellent, very attentive. Afternoon tea was lovely, served in the hotel restaurant. Will certainly be returning.
The "manor" looked like a 1980's old peoples council home, the pictures were cleverly illustrated to show the best bits of the front of the building so you are fooled into thinking its a grand manor house. But once inside you see this is no where near the 4* stated in Spa breaks rates it. Parking is minimal on the grounds of the hotel there were migrants living in what looks like old servant quarters, all sitting outside smoking. The facilities were fifthly the rooms smelt of cigs I would avoid.
Spa day for two ,Spoke to receptionist on arrival . Which resulted in problems when we came to our lunch . Our treatments were booked 12 and 1 pm 50 minute massage . I was the one that bought up will that interfear with lunch as it says it’s only served till 2 pm .told if your late it won’t be a problem. Spar floor changing rooms was dirty with debrey plaster hair we had to ask go find someone to clean the area . No lockers to use all full up .had stand my ground to get lunch not afternoon tea
I regularly go for massages. The venue was ok. Treatment room was standard
Music in the room was too loud.
Therapists were pleasant, but this was in no way a deep tissue massage.
Asked for more pressure three times especially around the shoulders and back, but it felt like a back rub, using the smooth palms of the hands in circular motions. added more pressure on my legs and thighs, felt like digging in & dragging their elbow up my shin.
For the price paid I would not recommend a massage here.
