Therapist didn't really know what HE was doing? My friend whom I booked and paid for had a woman therapist and she was very good and proficient. The bloke I had didn;t seem to have any real idea of what he was doing. Unfortunately for him I know a fair bit about swedish and Thai massage and he just kept layering on oil and rubbing around in circles with no real idea of what sort of routine over the hour should be. I actually asked him if he did this often and he said 'every weekend'.

We came here last year and it was a fantastic experience but my god has this hotel gone down hill. I paid for a Elemis Collagen facial which was £90. When I got into the room there was absolutely no collagen items to use on my skin and it wasn't until I brought in the manager to complain did they go and retrieve the items so basically if I hadn't mentioned it they wouldn't have bothered! This is fraud and I feel they do this a lot! The room was disgusting with blood stains on the carpet too!

The venue is not disability accessible in any way. Stairs are everywhere, we were on the first floor with about 30 steps but the view made it worthwhile, as room 33 has dual view windows of the front gardens and the side field. The food in the restaurant was very nice. But as I said the lack of access to the pool was not good. Luckily the outside pool was heated and had steps and a handrail to get in and out, plus the weather was ok too. I’m not in a wheelchair only use a walker.

I booked a Spa Afternoon with treatment inc afternoon tea, as a treat for my sister’s birthday that day.Unfortunately communication from the off was very poor. When we arrived they had without advising us, brought forward by 30mins the first treatment, so it all felt a bit rushed at the start. The facial though was very nice. Sadly the spa facilities were very tired, inc the unisex changing room & pool area. A total refurb is needed inside, but the outside area was ok. Afternoon tea was good.
