Very impressive facilities (lots of space, everything is clean and new). The changing rooms, treatment rooms and public areas are all high standard. I had a swedish massage which was good, although not cheap so something more for an occasional treat than a regular thing.
I recently visited the East River Spa on a girlie day out with a few of my university friends. I found the spa to be in an amazing position with a remarkable view from the relaxation room. The treatments were amazing in the sense that the therapists knew eaxctly how to handle my sunburnt back (that will teach me to sunbath)and were able to make me feel relaxed and also trusting in the way that i could trust them not to damage or hurt my back. The staffwere specifically friendly and helpful, i got a warm welcome from the receptionist followed by another welcome from the manager aswell as by any therapists seen, Overall the experience was fantastic and i would deffinately recommend this spa to all of my friends! ITS WORTH GOING! ;)
I have been here a few times in the past and must say the standards have dropped in regards to the massag treatments. Me and my partner had our mud treatment which was fine as you have to do it yourselves. But the massage were terrible. My therapist Emily was lovely, but had not clue how to give a proper massage. she hit my spin and several times, then when i asked her to get out my knots she kept hitting over my shoulder blade.OUCH. My boyfriend also said his therapist did not listen to him at all as he asked for main work on hands, feet and head, she spent 30 secs(no lie) in each area and then said, 'i did it'. Was not impressed, I spoke with the receptionist and she explained all the old staff have left and these two are in training. I was very disappointed that I paid £65 per hour for a trainee to give me a bad massage. I don't want to complain, but don't want other consumers more stressed after they leave the spa. Lovely settings and sorbee though.
I visited this spa today with a friend, both of us celebrating our birthdays and we were really looking for somewhere to relax and where with good get that 'feel good factor'. The environment was clean and of a high standard. The staff present were welcoming. Refreshments were not spectacular but good value as an addition to use of facilities. What I liked best is being assured by staff that we could take as much time as we wanted and certainly we did not feel rushed. The products we used to cleanse and moisturize did just that and left our skin feeling silky smooth. I am looking forward to a good night's sleep, I feel like I haven't got a care in the world a whole 6 hours later. I would definitely recommend the Moroccan Body Cleanse and will be back for more....
The spa was perfect for a day to unwind and relax. Changing rooms and the wet facilities area were clean and inviting. The staff were really nice, friendly and considerate. Filling are glasses whenever we emptied them. The music made us laugh as some tracks sounded very depressing. The highlight for us though was the heated loungers. We couldn't get enough of them and could have easily fallen asleep for a good hour. Will recommend to anyone and will definitely go back.
