Popped down here the other month, great facilities, perfect place to unwind in the steam/sauna rooms.
We did the Moroccan Steam Cleansing Ritual (2 for 1). The whole atmosphere was very relaxing and calming. Initially we were asked to wait in the 'Relaxation Room' with heated stone beds and a view of the O2. There was complimentary water, tea and crystallised fruit available which was nice. The steam itself was brilliant! A great experience for couples, getting covered in mud and oil in your own private steam room, with antechamber. There were showers both in the steam room and in the antechamber to get clean again when you were finished. After the steam we used the other facilities available. The 'experience showers' were not as exciting as they sounded but interesting. The sauna and steam room were great, with loads of water laid on to keep you hydrated, and an ice chute for the sadomasochists who wanted to get hot and then cold. It was a great value for money day – I would strongly recommend making good use of the facilities before and after the treatment.
I went to East River Spa/Gym with my mum and we have really enjoyed it! The spa is very clean, the monsoon showers are brilliant, staff is very friendly and helpful and there is lots of fruit to snack on while relaxing . I would highly recommend it and will definitely be going back soon!
I went to East River Spa at the end of August with a friend. It had been a Mob deal so we payed very little for our experience there and it was a fantastic way to spend a girly evening. We went mid week and found it almost empty so we had the run of the place to ourselves. The sauna was good, but when we went to use the steam room it was out of service. However when we asked the staff when it would be up and running again they were extremely helpful and allowed us to use the private steam room (which had no appointments for the evening) which was much nicer than the public one anyway! The room with the heated loungers and tea was very relaxing and the changing facilities were lovely. Neither of us had any extra treatments. After we'd finished using the spa we had hot chocolates at the bar on the ground floor of the hotel which were delicious! We had a great time and would recommend it as a great place to relax.
The exeperience was lovely - staff were really helpful and we pretty much had the spa to ourselves. The only thing i would say is that the location isn't great and the signage within the actual hotel could be a bit better. Apart from that it was well worth the visit and for that price I'd definitley go back again.
