Overall great value for money. Different stlye to most hairdressers - no foils used for the hightlights which I liked. He aslo trimmed my hair after he had dried which prevented the right amount coming off and not trimming it too short like some hairdressers tend to do. It was a sunday so quiet and relaxed - chilled music on in the background. I have recommended it to my friends and I will certainly go back.

I had a full head of highlights and colour with Alex last Tuesday. He was very professional, and listened to what I wanted. The colour came out exactly the way I showed him in the picture I brought. In addition to that, the wine and ambience was fantastic.
Finally, the salon redeemed my groupon and made me aware of any additional payments that would need to be made before adding them on themselves.
Be careful with any offers for this place.
Avoid Chez Stephan Hairdressing Studio (Putney). They redeemed my Groupon voucher without fulfilling the appointment. There reason, they had a temporary stylist over from France who did not understanding the appointment booked and she was unable to fulfil it. That didn't stop them taking my money and keeping it for THEIR mistake. Which they admitted after weeks of chasing them. £60 of my money for NOTHING!! Chez Stephan's solution is to IGNORE ME.
What is worse is Groupon know this and have accepted that the voucher was not redeemed but still allow offers from Chez Stephen so others can also have an appalling experience.
The atmosphere and location is lovely. I really loved my blow dry. have recommended the place already to my friends.

It's such a shame when a company does a deal and then practically forces you to spend more money - I think they should just be honest up front. I booked a T-section which stated a blow dry wasn't included - which was fine by me but when I got there they said I had to have one. I argued my case - but they weren't happy and its a shame as it just made the whole experience uncomfortable. I had been looking forward to trying the salon as it is local and does wine tasting (a great love of mine) but now I just feel unwelcome there. The T-section was OK but to be honest I don't think it was on long enough and was more of a strip then a proper t-section. The staff were sweet (not the manager/owner) but I wouldn't recommend it now. Sorry
