First class service again
Hotel was like nursing home staff very rude on reception food 5,star rooms very dirty
We had a lovely experience thank you, the only thing I would say is there was no music (when I've been to spa's before there has been mood music) so you could hear what was happening in the corridor Thanks
We were made to sit in bath robe for afternoon tea in the bar with everyone drinking and watching sport. We were expected a nice three course meal but was offered a buffet tea. The wait for a drink at the bar was at least 20 minutes. The massage and staff doing this were delightful. A defo perk for our stay. We would not return to this hotel. Needs a lot of work doing. Holes in walls light fittings missing... the list goes on.
Slightly bizarre stay. Went for the 3 course dinner, spa and afternoon tea package. A large proportion of main courses were at a £5 supplement. No atmosphere in the restaurant. Was taking ages for starter to arrive, people who arrived after us got theirs first. After a waiter noticed we then saw him frantically looking in the bin for our order but didn't come over to explain until we forced eye contact. Still no explanation, just a sorry. Eventually turned up after an hour. Food was good though. Basic spa. No real reception area, just a seat at the top of a staircase. Treatment started late but finished early. The massage was good though, but when the therapist asked me how it was and I said 'fabulous' she asked me to repeat after which she said "Oh I thought you said something else {PAUSE} I thought you said FFS {but not abbreviated!}" I'm not one to take offence at this but thought it odd! Later, when hanging around in the lounge, people were arriving for a Christening. A member of staff asked if he could carry a box one of the guests was carrying, she declined. He then asked if she was here for the Christening. She said something along the lines of 'yes, that's why I've got a cake {in the box}'. He responded with 'well, you might have had a tiff with your husband and got his head in the box!' I couldn't help but laugh, and he turned and said to me 'I bet you're wondering why I'm still in a job?!'. Erm, yep!
