It’s a little rundown but a lovely little spa... tratments were wonderful I got a couple of upgrades and loved the hair mask! Girls are lovely and it was a nice relaxing day
Lovely spa in a beautiful setting. Facilities are quite small so once a large group came in there were not enough chairs / loungers for the number of visitors - staff also didn’t clear towels that were reserving the loungers whilst people were out for their hour treatment / lunch, so that added to the lack of them.
Absolutely delicious lunch, cannot fault it, both of our meals were perfect. Attentive & friendly staff in the restaurant.
Treatments were ok, massages weren’t great - we paid £6 extra for aromatherapy to be added but I couldn’t smell it at all, unlike the many aromatherapy massages I have previously had, so that was a waste of money. Also I asked for firm pressure on the form & again in person but ended up getting such a light touch that it was almost like stroking rather than a massage; whereas my mum asked for medium pressure but has been left with a very painful shoulder (even now, several days later) with some bruising when her therapist dug in to chase a knot for so long it hurt her - definitely not the relaxing massage she was expecting.
Beautiful gardens, the weather was lovely which allowed us to have our afternoon tea in the sun. The food was delicious and the staff were amazingly friendly. Treatments were great, we both enjoyed them, especially the massage. Already looking to book our next visit!
Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Loved being pampered by lovely staff. Coming back again when granddaughter finishes GCSE exams.
