This was my third visit to the Secret Spa with my sister in law as a birthday treat. We arrived at 10.00am due to longish journey but were pleasantly surprised to still be able to have breakfast treats. It was very quite and we felt we had the whole spa to ourselves, certainly the swimming pool which was empty most of the day. Lunch was in a lovely room on our own with fantastic afternoon tea and prosecco. The massage was a dream and sister in law said it was the best birthday present ever!
I came on a day visit. The value, ambiance, spa facilities and treatment were all fabulous. This was a birthday from my sister in law and was beyond expectation. The only small criticism a have is regarding catering when last time I came a warm lunch of baked potato and salad was provided. Much preferred to sandwiches and cakes.
The venue is beautiful (although parking is a bit tricky) and even in the middle of a refurb, that didn't impact on our time in the spa at all. The staff are lovely (especially my therapist, Sarah), very helpful and informative throughout. When two of the treatments had to be changed last minute due to medical factors, they were consummate professionals. The products used are fabulous and I'm now a convert to the Espa range. Breakfast was a little limited, we could have done with more orange juice and the pastries were not the best but lunch was to die for. There was so much choice and we couldn't finish it all, even though we tried to! It was a wonderful experience and we have all said that we will now make it a regular outing to escape from the stress of work and enjoy a little girly, me time. Thank you very much for being so great.xxx
