The actual spa treatments and staff were top notch: the food was average and unassuming: the homemade scone and quiche were delicious: the actual facilities for changing/ steam/ sauna/ swimming pool is dated, dirty and paint peeling. Mould on ceiling in shower, glass doors and surfaces filthy- to point I did say something and took photos: I didn’t use sauna/ jacuzzi at all after that. It really has deteriorated since my last visit. The spa treatment side was impeccably clean, professional and bespoke. Let down by lack of overview. I had to fill hot water urn, no sugar in caddy, coffee pot half full when I arrived and not replenished, saw no staff to ask, just not the standard I’d come to expect- there is slot of competition around here now and priced similarly.
