What a superb wax quality! With great staff and a really nice and chilled out place - what more could you want...

I cannot fault the staff's friendliness and professional manner, however the massage I received was awful and feel like I need another one to recover from it! I feel bad saying this as the girl who did it was lovely. The sauna and swim area was a disappointment too. Grubby and old, there was no ambience what so ever and the closest you got to any sort of refreshments was a school corridor style water fountain. I know this is a Bannatyne but seemed low par even for them.
Plus side of this trip was that I got to finish two of my books, however I'm going to have to book in somewhere else next week - can anyone recommend anywhere?!
Great value offer for Valentines gift - spa day for two people. Massage good and facilities really nice. Would recommend this offer!
Whilst the facial and massage elements were ok (the sole objective of the visit), what really grates is the hidden and unexpected cost of phoning to make the appointment. Bannatyne publicises a centralised number for contact with all its outlets (08444-774777) and you are obliged to use this to make your booking. You can just imagine my "delight" at finding a £10 charge on my phone bill for the privilege of visiting a Bannatyne Spa. Not a long call either - so beware!
I went with my mum for the spa day including two treatments. I paid extra for an upgrade to a one-hour full body massage treatment.
The venue was nice - particlarly the pool area - and the reception staff were friendly. I was disappointed that we had to pay £3 each for towel hire, particularly as one of the robes we were given as part of this was very scruffy and had stains on it.
The treatments were very good, but the therapists started our treatments late and we were not given the full treatment time that we paid for. When I complained about this, the therapists were evasive and dismissive. However, when I escalated my complaint the manager was very understanding and apologetic and offered a solution to make up the difference in time that we paid for but had not received.
Overall the day was OK, but was not worth more than the reduced offer price for the day given the service problems we experienced.
