The salon is very low budget with the pedicure chair in the middle of whah is basically the reception. The chair was really uncomfortable and you had to lean forward as there was no way to adjust it - most pedicures at this price will have much better amenities!
The girl who did my pedicure was lovely, however, I have white dry feet and did notice is was more painful than to be expected. I couldn't really see what she was doing, but as it transpires significant chunks had been taken off my heel and it was red and seeping. 2 days on the pain in excruciating - I couldn't leave the house yesterday and can't go to work today. I can't believe that it was not observed and was let to get to this point - I'm so angry and wish I had gone somewhere else.
Therapist was lovely and so knowledgeable. Good massage. Unfortunately another client decided to arrive an hour early for her treatment with a screaming baby which made for a less than relaxing experience!
I felt really well looked after, was offered water at arrival, tea afterwards, and just generally had a pleasant experience. Sadly I cannot say the same for the haircut, the hairdresser had very basic skills, asked me which way I parted my hair, cut the ends off at the back, and trimmed the sides at the front without once moving by hair from the partition made originally. Further, to blood dry, the hairdryer didn't have the protective cap, which meant I had direct heat on my hair, and the brush was not used from underneath the hair, but simply brushing down on top of the hair. The students at the Tony & Guy academy have better cutting and styling skills.
The salon isn't the nicest beauty salon, but the treatment room seemed clean. The staff was welcoming, kind and able to explain the procedure. The treatment was fine, no brusing on my sensitive skin. Can't wait to see the results!
