The salon was very hot and was really noisey which meant I couldn’t really hear my stylist, which didn’t help with the communication during the cut which I think contributed to my cut being too short and not the style I wanted, which I wasn’t too happy with. I do come to Gusto (Covent garden) regularly though aNd this was the only time I’ve been disappointed, so I think it was just unfortunate my experience wasn’t good this time
Booked a haircut, wash & dry with a treatment mask literally half and hour before on a weekday. We weren’t disappointed. We were greeted nicely and my treatment started soon after. Staff was warm and friendly. Emile gave me a wonderful haircut and checked throughout. He even set amazing waves. A++
I have booked a blow dry at Gusto Hair after reading many positive reviews but I was left disappointed.
The stylist was 10 minutes late and receptionist clearly could not locate him. As I was waiting, another stylist openly panicked about a customer making appointment through Treatwell and the salon not being able to accommodate it. Not a comfortable situation to witness as a first time customer. Stylist looking after me eventually appeared from (I assume) staff room and was playing on his phone.
Hair wash was ok, but rather rushed and did not feel like a lot of thought was given to make the client comfortable. As I was waiting for the treatment to set in the stylist just got back to play with his phone.
I must have looked distressed when I was sat in a chair for the blow dry as the stylist asked (rather aggressively) what was wrong and what can he do for me. I was a bit shaken by his tone so was only able to answer that I hope he can continue with the treatment.
The end result looked good, but the customer manner needs much improvement.
