2nd time here. First experience was great but 2nd was ok. Hair cut a bit rushed and hair dresser John seemed to be a bit distracted with other things happening in the salon. He was very apologetic and friendly. Cut was satisfactory but my first experience with Ivaro was much better. Decent blow dry post cut. Also had to wait a while before being seen again. Not sure if I will return.

I was there on the appointment with a certain stylist for 1 p.30 p.m. when I get there 10 mins earlier and he is busy and asked me to come back in 45 mins, I went back after 45mins, and still have to wait for him for another 15 mins, they did offer me for another stylist to do my hair, but I thought I will stick with the same stylist I booked for, but ended up the result is not good and he charged me more for what I booked for a highlights but he said what I want is Ombre, I had no idea what Ombre was, he is not very good in explaining what he will do, after I came home and googled about Ombre, what he did was not Ombre, it was bleaching my hair, all and all, the result did not turn out to what I wanted, the colour was not satisfactory, and I have a hair cut hoping it will correct what was wrong with the colour, the hair cut was not good, I had a few uneven choppiness, I left the salon at 6:30 p.m. a lot of time was wasted, and they have a plumbing leak, the whole floor was wet, I went to another salon to have a cut the next day to try to get my hair restyled. All and all, I will not go back again.

I have been to Gusto a few times and was initially very happy with my experience. I have had both half head and full head highlights which I was really happy with. Unfortunately I have found that the salon is disorganised and that some of the staff can be unfriendly. For my last appointment I had selected a specific stylist to do my hair as they had done a great job previously. However when I turned up to my appointment I was told that the person I had booked with wasn't working that day. I would have appreciated if the salon had let me know about this in advance so that I could have changed my appointment. Most recently I called the day before my appointment to double check the time. I was told that the stylist booked to do my hair was not going to be at the salon and that no other stylist was available at my appointment time but that they could squeeze me in two hours after my scheduled time. When I asked why they had not informed me about this, the response was simply "well, we are informing you now", and the tone of conversation made it seem to me like I had made the mistake.

I gave my stylist pics on an idea I had, but told her I completely trusted her opinion if she wanted to change or add something.. She added her own touch to what I wanted and Ive never had a better haircut in my life!!!
