At last, a hair salon in London that doesn't overcharge and gives you what you want in luxury surroundings! The staff are polite, professional, attentive and friendly and if you're lucky enough like me, you could have two stylists working on you together at the same time to meet "I have to leave in an hour deadlines"! Having tried salons in the city, Clapham, Dulwich and Islington I have been on the look for a place which delivers exactly what I wanted and as a self confessed Miss Fussy it's not easy. I loved the little extras on offer like free soft drinks and wine from the self service SMEG fridge and free kettle chips or biscuits - what girl doesn't enjoy a glass of wine and a pamper?! The salon layout is cool, fresh and modern and being tucked away from the crowds of Oxford Circus it really feels like a little getaway from the chaos of London. Already booked in for 6 weeks time :o)
Had my hair done at Lisa Shepherd on Saturday, it cost £20 with the mobdeal offer which included a conditioning treatment, cut and blow dry and a glass of wine. Since my appointment was at 9am I opted for a hot chocolate instead of the wine which was delicious! Was really pleased with the service. The salon is lovely and there is a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. They were playing nice music and even have massage chairs at the sinks when you have your hair washed. Felt like a thoroughly special treat, like being at a spa. Reena cut my hair, she was lovely and made a really nice job of my hair :) very happy, would highly recommend this place.
Had an offer for a hair treatment, haircut and a glass of wine for £20. The venue is located near Oxford Circus, but tucked away in a nice quiet area on Mortimer Street. When I arrived, I wasn't offered a drink until about ten minutes after my arrival, even though I was the only client in there and there were a few staff members in there. Anyway, for £20, I cannot compain! Jason, the hairdresser was relaxed and pleasant and i am very satified with the cut. I have curly hair, so it is difficult to find a confident hairdresser who is not afraid to handle it. Was very impressed by the blow dry and he offered some useful tips.
Went on a Mobdeal and it was excellent. Great value and the stylist Reena was brilliant. If you go ask for her as she listens to what you want and delivers big time. Would love to go back to her again but their normal prices are a little more than I am used to paying, but might just raid the piggy bank as the haircut was sooooooooooo good! Well worth a visit especially on as part of a deal.
took advantage of a mobdeal. not a fan of hairdressers, for me its on a par with dentists - only go when absolutely necessary and it was necessary. BUT and its a big but went along today didn't feel intimidated - i am a big girl and often feel out of place in posh places. i immediately felt at ease here. loved the massage chair that gently caressed my aching back as my hair was washed then had a fab regenerating masque massaged in - could happily have fallen asleep. jason who cut my hair listened to me about what i wanted and more than delivered. the chat was friendly, we talked about my charity work and he was genuinely interested, more importantly he didn't try to sell me products or other services - i like to think i have a mind of my own and can make my own choices, i didnt feel nervous as i put my glasses back on as i could feel the softness of curls around my neck. will definitely be going back for the 1st class service that left me feeling like a million pounds. i actually felt guilty that i was using a mobdeal in there cos it was a brilliant experience. am telling everyone about the salon now which is always a good sign
