Did love the look of the place but it took me soooo long toget an appointment and then i was rushed in and out in under an hour even though i was paying full price! The cut was ok and the hairdresser (I cant remember her name, but she was very petit and sweet) - left me to read my magazine which I prefer than constant chit chat. Like I said, the cut was so - so but the place was so busy I suspect I was just squeezed in as i had a bit of a moan about it taking ages for me to book an appoontment (gave up on emailing them, and it took 2 weeks from when i phoned to be booked in)!!
Was really excited to get my hair cut by someone new, as I've been getting it done by the same person for the last 5 or so years. Found it easy to book an appointment, and the staff were v.friendly and helpful. The place is rather swanky, with a self serve waiting area where you can make your own tea or coffee, or grab a cold drink from the fridge. They also have laptops and other bits and pieces to pass the time whilst your waiting. Luckily though I wasnt waiting long anyway and I hada great chat with my hairdresser, Tom, who I felt like listened to what I wanted and discouraged a few of my ideas, explaining why they wouldnt suit my face shape and we discussed in depth what would work and what wouldnt. When it came to washing my hair... well! I nearly fell asleep, the chair at the basin is a massage chair and Toms head massage was exceptional! He gave me practical advice on how to wash my hair and what products to use, but didnt actively try to sell me anything. The cut flew by, but by the end of it I was pretty happy - it wasnt a major change or anything radical, and I have since found it very difficult to get used to styling it myself - but I can live with it. Had a good chinwag and great banter - no 'where you going on your holidays?' talk and nothing to overwhelming, he concentrated but engaged as well, which is a perfect mix for me. All in all, I walked in and walked out in an hour, so I suspect a full paying customer would've had a little bit more time spent on the actual cut, so at the normal rate of £70 I'm guessing it would be worth it. I will be returning!
Nice salon, good drinks / snack facilities and nice atmosphere, pleased with my haircut although when I arrived my hairdresser had a quick consulation with me, I then had my hair washed and sat with wet hair for 10 minutes whilst he finished off someone else's hair cut.
The salon was lovely, great atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive. My hair cut and blow dry were great, though I didn't get any drastic changes. I'd love to go again but I may be deterred by the high prices.
It took forever to get an appointment here for a convenient time for me, but they were ok with me changing it when I'd already had it cut not too long ago. The appointment service was good, with reminder texts. The facilities were great, especially since the early appointment really warranted a good cappucino! and the salon itself felt pretty swish. Though the hairdresser didn't have much to do to my hair, he was good fun to chat to, so it was still an enjoyable experience.
