Great salon, super friendly staff, easy booking process - will be going back!
My stylist, Anita, was fab and would highly recommend her to anyone with thick long hair like mine!
I phoned the salon 3 times before I went telling them that I had afro hair and asking if they would be able to do the keratin treatment on my hair, they said that it would be no problem and that they have done it before. When I arrived I was told that the treatment would have a minimal effect on my hair and that a new treatment called kerastraight (that cost 30 GBP more) would be more effectve at straightening my hair. I was quite annoyed by this as I was not told this on any of the 3 occasions I called. I decided to go ahead with the kerastraight treatment and wasdisappointed to find that the staff were completely clueless about how to handle afro hair. The hairdresser was using the wrong type of brush to comb my hair and generally asked questions that only someone who knew nothing about afro hair would ask. She also told me the treatment would take an hour and a half but I was there for 5 hours!! I would not have minded any of this if the treatment had actually been effective, as soon as I washed my hair with sulphate and chloride free shampoo as I was told to the next morning my hair went back to exactly how it was before! I will definitely not be returning to Lisa Shepherd again - never have I spent so much money on my hair to be so incredibly disappointed by the end result :(
This is one of the best places I have been to for ages, the staff were friendly and welcoming and very professional. The drinks I had were excellent and I was very satisfied with my cut and blowdry. Also I was attended to promptly
I have already recommended the salon to friends. The salon has a lovely atmosphere, staff are friendly and professional at all times and most importantly I was very happy with the results.
An absolute bargain and generally wonderful experience. On arriving at the venue I was shown the various facilities - free "help yourself" tea/coffee/soft drinks and the reception area where you can settle down with the various magazines/papers on offer or make use of the Mac laptops and free wifi.
After waiting about 10 minutes my stylist introduced herself. She was an absolute sweetheart. Very attentive, friendly and made me feel completely at ease and at home. The treatment was simply amazing! My hair looked and felt incredible afterwards - to the point that everyone (even a bloke at work and they don't usually notice these things do they?) commented on how lovely my hair was looking! It still feels and looks glossy. I'd totally recommend this treatment (and the location) for anyone who has frizz-prone hair and can't afford the usual cost. I'm one very happy bunny - Thank You!
