Great value for money, love my eyelash extensions!
Very quick, got me in on time and I must admit it was absolutely painless. However, I wasn’t asked before starting what shape I wanted, the woman doing it was on her Bluetooth headset during the process and she didn’t speak to me at all. At the end she said I was done, walked off and left me to check it in one of the hair dressing mirrors the other side of the room. I’ve come away with much skinnier eyebrows than I would have liked! For £6 though I probably can’t complain...
Eyelash extensions were good but I wasn’t asked how I like them before she started. The ambience wasn’t very relaxing and the woman doing my treatments was often distracted. I booked in for an eyebrow wax but instead they were only threaded.
Your staff needs to talk in English, service average
This was my third time coming to LUXE. While the first two times were fine, this last experience was so unnecessarily difficult and frustrating, it will be my last. My nails are naturally very long, and I am particular about the way they are shaped and treated. I understand that there was a language barrier, but the man performing the manicure did not seem to be able to understand anything at all I was saying, and continued to do what I kept asking him not to. Apologizing profusely and saying that I knew it would be rude, I asked if I could shape them myself. He gruffly grabbed the nail file away from me and started to go back to do the exact opposite of what I wanted. It took an intervention from another technician to allow me to shape my own nails. Clearly offended, the rest of the manicure suffered--he did not cure the Gel long enough, so my nails feel gummy and there are two foreign objects trapped in the Gel on my pointer finger. As I was flustered and upset from the unnecessary issue, as I absolutely did not mean to offend him but could not communicate properly, I just wanted to leave. While my booking online had said it would only cost 15, they informed me that I had actually received a different, much more expensive treatment and that there would be an additional fee to remove my previous Gel (which is fine), but it ended up being double the amount that I intended to pay. Why would they have gone ahead with a different treatment without asking me, forcing me to pay much more than I had planned? And the extra cost of removal was not explained either, so I was left unclear how much I had been charged and for what. It was a frustrating, upsetting, and expensive experience that has completely lost me as a customer.
