We stayed for two nights with meals and breakfast. The room was fine, clean and large enough. The bathroom was functional even thought the shower seemed a little old. The doors were a little chipped and showed aged as did some of the hotel decor, but it was clean the staff were very friendly. For the price I would say it was ok for value with the deal, but maybe not so if the offer was not on.
The leisure facilities were fine. The Jacuzzi was out of order when we went and the lockers are a bit dated, but functional. The pool and gym were great. the sauna was small and the light was not working but they were still usable and very enjoyable, as was the steam room. Considering the price was similar to that of a some of the travel inn etc the leisure facilities were a bonus anyway.
As for the meals the restaurant was nice, food was lovely, although the starters proportions could be a little off (too much pate to too little bread). Note that drinks are not included in the allowance you have for meals. Additionally the seat arrangements varied depending upon pre-booked parties and one night we were forced to site near open windows with very cold AC on us and were not allowed to move when we asked, (although they did shut the window when requested). Thus my advice would be to let them know when you plan to eat. Most times were given a choice of seating so this might have just been a one off occasion. The breakfast was self-service and everything was as expected.
The staff were friendly and considerate, they may not always tell you everything without having to ask like times for dinner, breakfast, use of leisure facilities but they were nice and helpful when needed.
Overall I would stay here again, it may not have been as 'luxury' as some four star hotels, but it was relaxing. Despite it's location on a industrial park, it is close to town (just over 3 miles) so taxis are not too expensive (£6-7) if needed, nearby bus routes. It was comfortable and the leisure facilities were good and not crowded (sometime we had them all to ourselves). Overall this was a very relaxing break and I would stay here again.
The hotel was booked for a shopping trip in Norwich. It was a nice place to stay and relax after a busy day shopping. We used spa area, it was ok but nothing special. Would go back but only using this deal as it is excellent value for money,.
Went there for an overnight say just to et away the spa was not working due to a leak but steam and sauna was good. would defiantly return well done
Everything was fantastic only downside was the jacuzzi was broken however I was prewarned when I called in. The dinner was tip top, we had the steak and it was cooked perfectly along with everything else. The staff was friendly and always there to help.
To be honest I was a bit disappointed when I arrived to this hotel. Firstly I needed to know what the surroundings of the hotel was and the woman I spoke to at the reception said nothing. Even if I asked if this hotel was in the middle of a field she said yes, well no, this hotel has the weirdest location in the middle of an industrial place! There is no forest nor fields where you can go for walks. When arriving to our room there were cleaning items and trolleys on both sides of our door. The spa looked like a children indoor swimming pool where families take there children to play. The steam room and sauna did not relax me cause of the noise from the children. Everything in the spa looked like a place from the 70's-80's and it was not the ideal place to take your husband for a romantic spa break celebrating our anniversary - cause it was nothing near romantic. I felt embarrassed to have brought my man to this place. Happily and luckily the food was excellent and the breakfast al right but the rest was disappointing.
