I have just used this voucher at the West Cliff hotel Bournemouth and I cannot even begin to explain how miserable and dirty the facility was.
To begin with we were miss informed about not having to bring our voucher to present upon arrival yet were told we needed it when we arrived. Luckily they let us in but told me I needed to email it to them later on.
Secondly there was building work taking place and the sound off drilling isn’t that relaxing and ruined the whole atmosphere of the facilities. It would have been easier to close the spa for a day rather than listening to that noise.
After being shown around by a lovely member of staff (of who I cannot fault) we entered the changing rooms where the smell of urine was horrendous, along with a very unclean toilet to say the least.
We started to use the facilities with the sound of drilling in the back ground, however realised that the image shown on the picture was different to that of the pool we were in. We used the the jacuzzi where we were surrounded by wet dirty tissues.
Continuing on from this we used the sauna of which wasn’t very hot/broken and speaking to the people also in there they said it was much warmer earlier and that they didn’t understand what was wrong either.
We had two massages booked on top of this, and I cannot fault those. However after receiving those we had an hour and a half wait for our afternoon tea and chose not to continue to use the facility. We got changed without showering due to there only being one shower that you could see through the glass door and went and sat on a beach in the rain (we was much more enjoyable than using the spa).
After returning to the hotel for the afternoon tea, we noticed the pool that was advertised on the Buy a gift website but we weren’t told about this pool so were not able to use this facility and do not understand why.
All in all we do not think that the facility can be advertised as an experience that can be brought for public consumption. I looked at reviews and there are people that have had the same experience as us today.
we had only used the facilities for an hour and what a waste of money that is as we had travelled an hour and a half for this as my mother said it was like being in a dungeon.

Had a lovely afternoon in the spa, the treatment was amazing, Both the ladies doing them were lovely 😊
The spa itself could do with a little TLC in places, this didn’t stop us having a lovely time.

Hotel had a lovely friendly feel. Food was always hot and delicious. Spa had a relaxing feel, could do with a lick of paint in areas. Treatment rooms where relaxing and quiet. Would recommend this hotel, spa package was great value for money.
