decent haircut, especially for the price!
I went on a saturday afternoon (appointment 2.20pm) and it was pretty busy. Maria had bookings since 10am so she seemed quite hectic. Maria did however fix my haircut (there were two different cuts in my long hair apparently) and she did it in a very professional and italan way. The point(?) hair thinning stage hurted a lot though (maybe because of the blunt scissors?) Overall I paid £40 and it was ok in price for London.
I went in with below shoulder length hair asking for a trim and a blow dry, and came out with a drastically different style that all my friends questioned whether I had spent weeks deciding on! She just kept cutting without asking for my input - I had no idea how much had been taken off until the end. While I have come to quite like the cut - though it is hard to style - the service was not quite up to par and the whole thing felt rushed. The first thing that was said to me was that I had chosen the wrong length hair and would have to pay extra - this was fine with me, though not the way it was delivered. Similarly I asked for waves with the blow dry and was told this would be extra too, when all other hairdressers I have been to allow the client to chose the type of blow dry they want. Again, I don’t mind paying the extra cost just would prefer not to be treated like a burden
No pretensions - make it very simple
The salon is very nice, staff are very friendly and offer you drinks and food. However the cut itself was not to my satisfaction.
