Whilst Ali was friendly and approachable. The treatment was terrible. The therapist had long acrylic nails and the massage lacked any depth or connection. She didn't do a consultation form or a verbal consultation and this was particularly concerning as I'm 25 weeks pregnant. I suggested a side lying position but she had raised the back of the bed so it was really uncomfortable to lie on my side. There was no additional pillow for my head so she folded a towel but it was too low. Awful massage
My stay was ok , some parts were very good but some parts were very disappointing. The facilities were a bit dated , and the steam room wasn't working on the day we were there, the restaurant was nice the afternoon tea was very good and the service we received in the evening was very good. But the breakfast was cold the following morning.
Lovely short break weekend, food was nice and friendly staff. Come home feeling fresh and relaxed.
My friend and I had a Morning Spa Break. The hotel is lovely and I understand has gone through some recent refurbishments. The Spa is pretty basic so I can't give it a 5 star rating. It does have a gym, pool, jacuzzi, and indorr and outdoor jacuzzis, and I think steam room and sauna. I had the Indian head and back massage. Itwas great. Skilled and friendly. Biggest issue is staff availability - delays in bookings right down thoroughout the visit -. They are just understaffed in all areas.
Nice weekend stay - good hotel in lovely grounds, great location and great outdoor pool.
