I booked a surprise massage for my boyfriend. Unfortunately, as there is only one masseuse in the evenings I was unable to enjoy a massage at the same time. However, when I contacted Jacqui about this she was very lovely and said that I could use the sauna and hot tub whilst I waited. She also contacted me on the day to inform me that the hot tub was broken and asked whether I would like to rearrange. I wasn't really bothered so I went ahead with it.
Both the hotel staff and Jacqui were very lovely,kind and accomodating. Jacqui even gave us a glass of complimentary wine.
The sauna and hot tub is situated in a lovely garden setting and the treatment rooms are in the basement of the hotel. I already expected this from the other reviews and pictures so I wasn't bothered but if you're expecting an actual beauty spa such as the virgin spas this isn't the place for you. However, if you're after a good massage and great service this is the place for you. My personal opinion is I much rather pay for a good massage than a pretty hotel. I've paid much higher prices for beautiful hotels that do not have the same service.
I particularly like this place as it offers treatments up until 8pm which many places do not.

The surrounds here are calm and unhurried we felt very well cared for and enjoyed use of the hot tub and sauna before our massages.Time and attention were taken to make things just right by Jacqui the therpist. She was very skilled with regards to the treatments she gave us and information she shared with us and her person skills made such a difference ... she took her time and demonstrated a really caring attitude.I would highly recommend this therapist and venue.My mum and I plan to try some more of the range of therapies offered.
Aromatherapy Massage
Lovely treatment and gets rid of dead sk. The lady is lovely and makes you feel very welcome The bed is heated which you lay on which feels lovely
