I suppose you get what you pay for - I thought I would try a slightly cheaper haircut from West End prices. The salon itself looks fine, the staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I was made to wait 30min as they were overrunning on time - maybe better scheduling next time? I didn't mind the wait, but it did mean I spent an hour extra in the salon than intended.
My hairdresser Andrea was polite and courteous. I did show a picture of what I wanted, and while I did get something close to the image, it's only "ok" so far. But perhaps that's due to a lack of communication on my part. Andrea seems perfectly competent, except - well, he nicked me in the neck with his scissors. It didn't draw blood, but I definitely have a mark (and it's sore!), and I don't think he noticed it. I've been a hair demo model for a few years, so I know how to keep absolutely still during a cut (previous hairdressers have commented on how still I am!). I have a feeling he was rushed for time that day, as he had another client immediately after me (who must have waited at least 30min too).
Note: Everyone else in the salon had long hair, I got a below the ear-length bob, so maybe they're better suited to long hairdressing.
Lots to like here. Great hairdresser who not only did a great cut and blow dry but also chatted throughout (not in an imposing way!) and excellent value.
Really really good value for money! I had a full head of highlights plus toner on long hair in which most other places would charge a minimum of £100
Lovely staff and a quick service
All the staff were extremely friendly apart from one woman who was bossy and rude to all her colleagues, making the place look a bit unprofessional. Otherwise great service, a well-deserved packed salon.
