Im not one for writing negative reviews because I just don't return to the place, but having had my hair hacked almost three weeks ago, I'm giving in and getting it off my chest, its bothering me daily and during the first week after it happened I couldn't sleep properly! I cannot remember the name of the hairdresser who cut my hair, it was a busy Saturday morning and the salon was heaving with a million hairdryers on full blast. He was a tall, dark haired guy, i think from Italy, who threw a grown on me, didn't listen to what I asked for and turned into Edward Scizzorhands.
I've been to CML 3 times previously, all had been fine - you cant argue with their prices and the idea of £9 to cut off my split ends seemed fair. On this occasion though he was rushing and obviously thinking about his next appointment. I've always wanted longer hair, its takes MONTHS to grow half an inch and even then my hair is so fine and dry that the ends tend to split so for the last 4 years i've been having regular trims and and using all sorts of oils and lotions to help strengthen it. I was for the first time in a long time, happy with the length and going for my 6 week trim.
You can imagine my delight when all that effort was chopped out in a rushed frenzy, i truly don't think he was concentrating. I stopped him at one point but he just waved the scissors at me. It was actually fairly traumatic watching all my hard work cut off in seconds and now back at square one. I just want to send out a warning to anyone out there and to CML - Listen to your customers. Sometimes less is more, if we're unsure and a little nervy (this isnt the first time i've been hacked) then be gentle! We can always come back - isn't that the whole point of your cheap prices anyway, regular custom?!
A wonderful head massage, very relaxing experience - it was nice not to feel rushed in and out of the salon. The stylist paid a lot of attention to detail and listened to what I wanted.
