The overall experience was very relaxing, the room lovely, clean and the therapist polite and professional. Asked for firm pressure but really was just about medium though appreciate each customers idea of this can differ. Only other thing that slightly spoilt the mood was being giving a ‘sales pitch’ on what products I could buy within seconds of my massage finishing. Not ideal as personally I like to enjoy the last few moments of some ‘me time’ before I return to reality, would have preferred this once dressed and at reception.
Nothing like a facial I’ve ever had before. More like a swoopy oily massage over face, hair and shoulders. Products were rubbed up face over eyes- horrible!!! How can you be relaxed and calm when you’re about to get product rubbed in your eyes! The shoulder/arm massage would have been lovely if I’d known that was going to be done- as it was I was worrying about how my clothes were going to be ruined with oil when I got dressed afterwards. I know that no one expects to look ready to hit the town after a facial but I didn’t expect to look like a Halloween horror show. Oils and moisturisers and face scrub rubbed into my hair, mascara panda eyes and dripping in oil. It’s surely not a good advert for the place for me to leaving looking so terrible. At least tell me I’ve got mascara down my cheeks! I don’t feel the facial did my skin any benefits.
