Our spa experience was poor, the pool was cool & the hot tub wasn’t working. All the spa facilities & changing rooms needed updating. There was a wedding in the hotel and there was an incident in the restaurant involving a drunk guest where we didn’t feel safe. We waited 45 minutes for our cream tea. I asked for a medium strength massage but it was just a back rub & the towels on the massage bed were dirty.

Unfortunately my hot stone massage was incredibly bad and I think it was due to having a therapist that had not been trained in massages so she did not know what she was doing. The manager did hear me out and and I suggested that she be given training to avoid this in the future.

Really lovely weekend the onlymprpblem was the massage treatment was changed by the hotel to 11.05 which we had a 3 hour drive to get there and after we couldn’t get in our room until 3 o clock on the dot. I k kw it’s your policy that 3 is the time but that room was properly ready they could have let us in a bit early receptionist should be a bit friendly. Besides that can’t fault the weekend brilliant we will be back again
