Not as expected. The whole spa is in desperate need of a refurb. Both male and female changing rooms are tiny with limited facilities in them. No locks on the toilet doors in the mens changing room. The hot tub was not operational initially, mens changing rooms were not clean (black mould on tiles).

My therapist was 6 minutes late. She did apologise & took me through to the beauty room. Confirmed that I was having full body deep tissue massage. She don’t ask what pressure I want or how was the pressure. She started on my back, arms then finished the back of the my legs. Once she finished my legs she asked how it was. Then walked out the room without saying another word. Thought it was very strange as she hadn’t done the front. I left it a few mins when I realised she wasn’t returning

The frills are secondary to the primary expectation of a hotel stay. Primary I'd expect the bed to be of a high standard. Although the bed was reasonably comfortable, it was so noisy that every time I turned in my sleep, I'd wake up from the noise the bed makes. This pretty much spoilt the entire stay. The noisy bed aside, I would rate the experience as acceptable plus.

Staff were very nice and lunch was good. Enjoyed my treatments. However, the changing room is tiny with just 1 shower which didn’t look very clean. Pool is quite chilly too. Not enough loungers in the chill out room, only half of the heated benches in aromatherapy room work. Parking was £7.40 and the robe and slippers cost £6 when usually these items are free. Unfortunately I would not go back here for a spa day.

Spa and bar staff were friendly and helpful, but reception not so much.
Spa pool and jacuzzi were freezing and loungers in relaxation room were so uncomfortable.
The relaxation room was noisy from banging upstairs and chairs moving on the floor from whatever room is above. Sauna smelt odd and not overalls clean.
Ladies changing room tired and grubby.
Treatment room were noisy and treatment was rushed.
Sadly not an overall relaxing day.
