Been here a few times after never stepping foot in a salon, I have never felt more welcomed! Natasha who is my regular hairdresser is so lovely and makes a killer curly blow dry! I had summer today as Natasha was poorly and she was such a sweet heart, honestly such amazing ladies that work here. Thank you!
After having tried 3 other salons in Nottingham since moving here 7 years ago (and cutting my own hair during the pandemic šŸ¤¦šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø) and either not having the cut/style I wanted or feeling comfortable, I very nervously booked with Bliss as another new salon to try, as I desperately needed my hair cut! I needed a salon that was good with cutting short hair as most only seem to cater for long locks, and Bliss came up in my Google search. The booking process was easy and quick and emails confirmed deposit and booking of appointment! I was 15 minutes early, driving there early to avoid being late for my appointment, and I was literally shaking walking to the salon from the car park. I do not know what I was worried about, as soon as I walked in I couldn’t feel more welcome as a new customer, I had my coat taken, offered a drink, waited for Natasha to finish her previous client. The atmosphere was warm, festive and friendly! Natasha was AMAZING, went through how she was going to cut my hair, and what was best, after I showed her a picture of what I wanted!! All the girls were really friendly and welcoming!! I couldn’t have been happier with my cut and all the advice Natasha gave me!! I left feeling full of confidence again, and for the first time didn’t want to leave a salon and rush home to sort my hair out myself!!! I looked and felt a million dollars and booked my next appointment before I left. I can’t thank Natasha and the Bliss girls enough šŸ™šŸ½ you gave me my confidence back!
Went in for a perm as I thought the place looked good and I’m a bit wary about where I get mine done as many places will do one only for it to fall out a couple weeks later. Good service and nice staff, but repeatedly asked if I’d be able to get a refund if the perm didn’t take properly and was assured I’d be able to get my money back if it didn’t work, and was told I’d be able to get a refund if so, repeatedly. Imagine my shock about a month later when my perm has gone entirely straight and I try and phone up for a refund and I’m told that no refunds are offered by the shop at all, and the best they can do is redoing the perm when the person who does them gets back from holiday. This is of zero used to me as someone who doesn’t live in Nottingham full time and has access to an actually competent hairdresser at their other address. Totally unacceptable, not only was I lied to about the refund policy, but the quality of perm was substandard (didn’t last anywhere near long enough) - shop don’t really seem to care as they’ve had near Ā£100 off me for a waste of time and don’t seem to have any intention of giving it back. Very disappointing, would avoid. See pics for the ā€˜perm’
Went in for some basic hair segmenting to add some dreadlocks myself, first time I had a trainee who kept putting clips on my ears and almost putting the sharp end of a comb inside my ear eep, but I thought hey ho thats training... so I rebooked in with the manager a few days later who said she could sort it. Only to be told she also has never done hair segmenting ! after sitting for 3 plus hours and having the owner getting stressed out I was charged over 50% more than my estimate ( I assume for the privilege of being a test dummy. Only to leave almost in tears ready to take it all out immediately and go anywhere else to have it fixed. Complete waste of my time and money. This is supposed to be even 6 segment triangles. I was asked both times to essentially tell the hair dresser how to do the job and stressed at for not being able to direct the entire procedure.. Won't be going back. Why list something you can't do.
Went to see the lovely hair goddess Emma at Bliss hair Nottingham. I had been to a different hair salon before who had basically buggered up my hair and I was really nervous about going to a another different salon. At first I had a consultation with Emma and we went through different options, Emma listen every step of the way even when I kept changing my mind and would keep sending her different pics on Instagram, she is very knowledgeable and put me at ease all the way. The whole team at Nottingham are absolutely amazing so friendly and my new colour and cut is bloody wonderful. Thank you so much Emma and team xx šŸ’‹šŸ’‹
