We had a lovely pedicure at the spa, therapists were very professional and friendly. The main thing that let them down was not showing us around the spa and letting us know what facilities were available, we had to go exploring for ourselves and some of their regular clients pointed things out to us. As well as a swimming pool, there is also a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. We also didn't get any robes, and I always feel that these are required to make it feel like a full spa experience. We had the high tea as part of our package, and this was excellent. All in all we had a great day, and it was only let down by a few niggly things. I have booked to go again with some other friends in the new year.
We arrived to find a very tatty spa reception area, chairs stained and torn. We were looking forward to enjoying the sauna which was broken and had not been working for a few days, according to another guest. Although the receptionist had phoned me the day before, the broken sauna was not mentioned. In fact it was never mentioned, we got changed in a very smelly changing room and it wasn't until we got to the sauna that we saw the out of order sign stuck to the door.We then had a coffee costing £3 each which was lukewarm, and tasted bitter as if it had been standing a long time. Whilst the manicure and pedicure were good, at a cost of £50 we could have done it cheaper and a lot nearer to where we lived. We couldn't wait to leave the place. If you are looking for luxury surroundings don't go here.
