5 of the most holistic massages in Leeds

29 July 2016 by Beth Ryan

Think of Leeds as the massage capital of the UK. With more massages on offer per square mile than any other city there’s no excuse for knotty knees, sore shoulders or aching backs. If you’re in the city and looking for a massage that works that little bit harder, then a holistic massage will hit the spot. Here’s where you’ll find the most soothing, relaxing and nurturing massage therapists in and around the city centre….

  • 1 Embrace Holistics

    Best for: Indian Head Massage

If you’re faced with a busy schedule but don’t have the time to commit to a full body massage, a spoiling Indian head massage from the experts at Embrace Holistics is the perfect way to breath a bit of tranquility back into your day. Using ancient techniques to help soothe anxiety and relieve stress, this relaxing express treatment only lasts 20 minutes, so you can easily pop in during your lunch break. Ideal for injecting a dose of well earned ‘me time’ into an otherwise hectic schedule, this tension busting treatment will leave you feeling calm and refreshed, ready to take on the rest of your day with ease.

  • 2 Maschio Hair & Beauty

    Best for: Hot oil massage

If you’re suffering from stress induced aches and pains and can’t seem to shake it, booking in for a hot oil massage at Maschio Hair and Beauty is just what the doctor ordered. It really is the dream, and we challenge you not to drift off to sleep as your skilled masseuse tackles all of your tension areas with their heavenly scented aromatherapy infused hot oil. Just as good for the skin as it is for your aching joints, the heat from the oil is designed to deeply penetrate your muscles, and melt away tight knots in a matter of minutes. But you’ve got a whole hour so all you need to do is lie back and relax as the healing ingredients do their magic.

  • 3 Pin Up Beauty

    Best for: Aromatherapy massage

As soon as you walk through the door at Pin Up Beauty, you know you’re going to be treated like a queen. With friendly staff and a relaxing environment, it’s hard to decide what treatment to choose first. But if you’re on the hunt for something that’s guaranteed to calm and relax you, we’d advise booking in for their restorative aromatherapy massage. Available for either half an hour or hour long sessions, this therapeutic massage is designed to stimulate the mind and the senses, kneading away your everyday aches and pains as your breath in the luxurious smells of their healing aromatherapy oils. Utter bliss.

  • 4 RMUK

    Best for: Bamboo massage

If you live in Leeds and haven’t visited RMUK yet, you’re missing out. Covering all things hair, health and beauty over 3 luxurious floors (including a rooftop bar for good measure), there’s very little they don’t have on offer – and their relaxing massage rooms are to die for. The only place in Leeds offering Aveda treatments, they have a hefty holistic menu to tuck into, and for this occasion we went for their signature bamboo massage. It did not disappoint!  Warm bamboo sticks sweep softly over your muscles, stretching them out and releasing tensions. This acton combined with Aveda’s luxuriously pampering massage oils loosens tight spots a treat. We’d highly recommend booking in for this 5 star massage to see what all the fuss is about.
