I had high hopes for this salon but unfortunately I paid £250 for hair colour that I am unhappy with... I have dark brown hair and had a cut and colour (balayage) service.
- The colour I requested was caramel but they dyed it bright blonde. I wanted the look to be very subtle with a hint of colour. I even showed them some examples of colour work from the salon's Instagram account so they would have an exact idea about what I was looking for and could easily recreate (seeing as it was their work!) The photos I showed were just from a few weeks ago.
- There was also an issue with communication in the salon as there was somewhat of a language barrier. My stylist was new to the country and was trying to up-sell Olaplex to me. She was unable to explain it properly but I googled it and asked her if the price was for '3 steps' the 3rd being some Olaplex treatment to take home... she said yes and I paid the extra £50 as it seemed okay if it included a take home product. But it turns out there was no 'take home' element, and looking back, I am not entirely convinced they actually used this product in my hair at all...
- I was shocked when my hair came out bright blonde and I think the staff were too. It was already 8.30pm on a Friday night though so they blow dried and finished the hair but played it down and said 'It is very light, come back next week and we'll pop some toner on to darken it, it will only take 15 minutes'. <Well, obviously it would take longer than that but alas, after spending the weekend with awful two-tone hair, I headed back a few days later.
- The colour after the toner was better, but still nothing like I had shown them in the photos. Even the technique was different.
- On my second visit, I overheard the stylist say "just rough dry it" in reference to my hair. Now considering I had paid for a cut, colour and blow dry and they had totally mucked up my hair, I couldn't believe that they were now doing the bare minimum for me. I paid full price but ultimately left the salon with rough dried hair - my hair is long and thick and a little frizzy - I never rough dry my hair as it looks awful! So once I finally got home that evening I had to spend another hour sorting it out!.
- It's now approx 2 months later and I am actually planning to add some temporary colour onto my hair this evening to try and fix the colour as it seems to gradually be going back to it's super blonde state. I've attached some photos.
- I would have at least expected some kind of discount from the salon but after hearing the 'just rough dry it' comment, I just wanted to get out of there ASAP!
Walter and the team made me feel welcome at very first minute i walked in! I was very sceptical as I had dreadful experience before with different hairdressers but Walter had very personal approach and adviced me on what is best for me! The best hair salon I have been in London so far!
Being my first visit to the salon I was pleasantly surprised. Alex gave me a great hair cut, he cut it exactly like the picture, and also took his time to make sure I was happy with every step. He really knows what he is doing, and is a lovely interesting person to have a chat with as well! I think I have found my new hair dresser.
The only thing I would improve, was the women who washed my hair/applied the treatment - she was very rough and kept tugging at my hair, and when drying kept pulling my hair. I was worried I had lost half of my hair. Otherwise a lovely experience - will definitely come to see Alex again!
Absolutely loved my experience here and the result of my hair. Luke was brilliant, I’ve never had a hairdresser be so honest about what can and can’t be achieved and really appreciated that. My hair now has a beautiful and natural balayage that I’m very happy with.
