I have MS, and I am in a wheelchair. My husband had recently (3months ago) undergone a hernia operation. I was very keen to experience my first colonic, and my husband wanted to support me, and join me in also having a treatment.
We contacted WLC because we live near Northolt and after reading many positive reviews. We decided to take advantage of the current discounted offer for couples.
We telephoned Julia, who explained the procedure to us, and also told us that it was too soon after my husband's operation to have a colonic, however, he could have a enema which would be 'just as good'. Julia sent us a medical questionnaire by email, which we both filled in, and returned before our visit.
On the morning of the treatments, we arrived in good time. We had been told that we could park in the drive, which was close to the treatment room. Julia came out to the car to greet us, and made us feel very welcome.
My husband pushed me in my wheelchair, while Julia lead the way. The treatment room was clean and had an adjoining toilet and changing area.
My husband was first. Julia took a detailed and comprehensive history before he was asked to change into the gown provided, and then get on the treatment couch. I was able to see the tube that was being inserted, and it really was much smaller than I had imagined. The water pressure used during enema was much less pressurized than the hydrated colonic, however, it was still very effective. We could see everything that was coming out of his colon, and Julia explained what everything was. It was a bit like 'the generation game' as items passed by your eyes that were once the contents of your colon. After his enema, He went to the toilet for a final bowel movement, and then came out with a smile on his face, which he still has 5 days later.
I was next. Julia discussed my medical history/questionnaire with me. Because of my mobility problems it was more difficult to get me on the couch, but we managed with a small wooden step, and everyone 'mucking in'. Julia was very concerned that I was comfortable at all times, an kept talking the whole time, so there was little or no embarrassment.
The insertion of the tube was not painful, just uncomfortable. Once I was able to see the contents of my colon floating away through a glass tube, I became more concerned about was I was going to see next!
After the colonic, I had a bowel movement, followed by a great sense of well-being.
My husband and I are converts, and will be having more colonic/enemas in the future.
Julia is very knowledgeable, caring, gentle and professional - What she don't know about the colon and bowel movements is not worth knowing.
The experience I had with Julia at West London Colonics from the initial telephone appointment review through to the completion of the colonic treatment was exemplary. Julia's attention to detail, concern for my wellbeing as a client and the administering of the treatment itself was reassuring and made for a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
I would not hesitate to recommend West London Colonics as the first choice to make a booking for this type of wellbeing support service. I did not have any specific digestive medical condition I required help with. My primary motive for the treatment was to cleanse of my digestive tract, so don't think you only need to have a colonic treatment to help with an established digestion related medical condition. I was surprised by how much superfluous material was released from my colon during one colonic treatment, which underpinned the importance of such cleansing procedures.
Had my colonic a few weeks ago due to suffering from bloating (the last year plus), insomnia, feeling sluggish and many other issues. Julia was very helpful days before the treatment was due, emailing me to ensure I fill in the relevant paperwork to save time on the day, clear address directions and pre treatment guidance. When I arrived Julia helped me with directions and there was also secure parking in her driveway. We went through my problems one by one and then you are led to the very clean facilities so you can change/visit the bathroom, I opted for the pre-abdominal massage to help me relax before hand and also to help with the treatment. The treatment itself for first timers is a strange feeling however I began to relax very quickly and Julia was very helpful with this - I also opted for herbs as this was my first time (the pre-abdominal and herbs are additional costs however as it was my first time I wanted to try this). After the treatment is done you are able to use the bathroom again/get changed. I can honestly say since changing my diet and the help of the colonic for the first time in years I had no bloating and felt 'normal' again! I am going back in two weeks to have another session before my holiday and will be having more to come. Thanks jUlia
Yes I would tell me friends. The treatment made to feel cleansed. The advised given regarding how to maintain my self and forward plan was very informative. I shall endeavour to keep to the advice and hope to achieve my goals set otherwise this treatment will not work. I would recommend having this treatment atleast once.
