Make the most of your Resolve & Resolutions ….and prepare to see in 2016 with an attitude & commitment to your Health & Wellbeing. This is the time to give your immune system the most help you can give it.

Its easy to have a colonic!

At West London Colonics ( www.westlondoncolonics.com ) we offer a modern, professional approach to one of the most ancient holistic health practices, combining state of the art technology with the natural cleansing process to help you achieve optimum wellbeing.

After all, as the Naturopathic Doctor, Gloria Gilbere, has said:

"The road to health is paved with good intestines."

If you are a prospective client looking at this page we imagine you have done your research, and know something about the theory of colon hydrotherapy. The immediate question you may want answered now is: Why should you trust your colon to West London Colonics, rather than another clinic?

We have our own ideas about this, however it’s much better to let our clients speak for us………

What our clients have said

At last count we had over 125 feedback comments (mostly on this site, although 2 of them are not on Wahanda; and - that of Alison,Claire, Ang-Ang , LIq , Hannah & Barbara, R......t-, L....y, Nishin, Emma are posted in this narrative section ).

This is a sufficient number to allow prospective clients to get a representative sense of our service ethos. Some stats: 60 of these reviews were posted in the last 12 months. Around 95 reviews are Five star reviews ; 19 are Four star, and 6 are Three star or lower. We now average around 4 client reviews a month. Fully 12 % of our total client base (of approx 900) have posted reviews.( In the past 12 months, our reviewer rate was 15%). This is an exceptionally high reviewer rate for a specialist clinic ( as opposed to a Beauty parlour). Also, unlike the reviews you will see for some other clinics, ALL client reviews for WLC relate solely to colon hydrotherapy services. If that's what you are looking for, then these reviews are 100% relevant

[If you do look at the detailed reviews, and we hope you do, we apologise for one glitch . Some of my (Julias ) 'comments' have been duplicated numerous times, in error, for some of the earlier reviews. Unfortunately, editing fuctions are disabled once the item is sent, and we are unable to undo them. If you only view the more recent reviews this will not be an issue for you.

If reading reviews in detail is not for you, then you may like that we have paraphrased the gist of some of the detailed client feedback. You can then decide if you want to read it in full.Note ,In some cases we have cited the review in full.

[ Another convenient way to view our reviews is on our website on this link http://www.westlondoncolonics.com/testimonials.html There our client feedback entries are organised chronologically & are clickable on a month -by- month basis- so its easier for you to get a sense of the entries, ie monthly volume, content, patterns & trends.]

Paraphrased feedback

E mail 21/4/15 (Quoted in full): “Hi Julia, I did enjoy my colonic treatments very much, thank you. I have not been in touch only because my job location has been moved to Asia; so I m not living in London anymore (which I miss, having lived there for 7 years!) Unfortunately, I’m not doing any colonic treatments here in Asia, as I don't think they do it much here. I hope next time when I find chance to travel in Europe I can do it again with you:). Don't worry I still have the previous emails giving contact details for you.” Emma; Visited Dec 2013

Client E mail 10/4/15 relevant elements quoted in full: "Hi Julia, Everything is good on my side..... I have recently undergone a few thorough bowel cleanses and have made some positive changes to my diet and so have been experiencing a much healthier bowel system. As a result I don't think i will need to have a colonic for the foreseeable future. However, if that changes then I will be sure to book an appointment with you. Thanks for all your support.."

L.....y; Long term client 2013-2014, who used Colonics as an adjunct method to support diet & lifestyle changes, a great result.

As to next session for us, life has taken a turn towards busyness, and with the Easter holiday with related social and family events, we're looking for a spring clean-up towards the end of April. We certainly owe you a review, as we have deeply enjoyed and appreciated your warm and attentive care. See you in April," R......t, Visited March 2014

(92)' Review (Quoted in full ): After reading reviews on WLC for the past couple of months I finally plucked up the courage to attend and fuelled on by the fact that someone I had told recommended to WLC had booked an appointment before me, lol. That said I turned up last weekend for my 1st colonic, a little anxious as to what I had let myself in for. I gave myself enough time to get there all relaxed and ready, directions to the clinic were spot on! I was totally put at ease by Julia’s warm welcome and professional attitude. Julia explained the process and at every step of the treatment went into detail about what she was doing and what I should expect. I had the abdominal massage which further relaxed me. I eat well and exercise regularly so wanted to look after the “inside” so watching the toxins flow away felt quite cathartic,

After the treatment, Julia gave me advice about what changes I should make in my diet, as well as suggesting I take probiotics to introduce the good bacteria back into my colon. I left there feeling like I had just run a marathon, in a good way! I would definitely recommend and have booked another session for 4 weeks’ time. Thanks Julia” SunshineAnders; Visited March 2015

(91) Review (Quoted in full): “Last Saturday I had my 3rd treatment with Julia (I bought 5 treatments in total), and I have to stay I'm really pleased with the results as the experience itself. After each treatment, I feel more energised, I sleep much better, I feel less bloated and lighter...

Colonics can be quiet daunting, but with Julia, it feels like a walk in the park. Each treatment comes with a relaxing music and plenty of advices and tips on how to improve your digestive systems and which kind of foods to avoid. Also, the place is spotless, always very warm and just few minutes walk from Northolt tube station. Thank you Julia for your kindness, your professionalism and also for contributing in my wellbeing.See you soon, Nadia” Nadia75; First Visited Feb 2015 multiple visits since then; Reviewed March 2015

(90)' Review (Quoted in full) “For my 1st colonic I had an excellent experience at WLC, Julia was lovely and made me feel at ease from the moment I got there, it was especially nice that the appointment did not feel rushed. I had the abdominal massage before my colonic, the massage was nice and I chose it specifically as I was very constipated and thought it would help ease this, I probably would not have it again only because the purpose of it is for relaxation and I felt pretty relaxed once I had got there anyway and of course it costs extra. My treatment also included the enema herbs, I am not sure whether these made a difference to my session but I trusted Julia's professional judgment that they would benefit me. I will 100% be visiting WLC again but probably just for the basic treatment next time as the extras added up and I am very cost conscious (which is the main reason I haven't been back already). Saying that, WLC was one of the cheapest I could find using their introductory offer and the service exceeded my expectations for the price. Thanks Julia!” stephlou; Visited March 2015

e mail from client 1/1/15: (Quoted in full): "Hi Julia, Warm wishes for 2015. Before coming to you I had never experienced a colonics so had no expectations but I have been so impressed by the experience and definitely had noticed the difference in my well being, bowel movements and generally feel so much better. Thank you. See you soon. Regards," Barbara, first visit June 2014 - multiple visits ongoing client

e mail from client 12/12/14: (Quoted in full): "Hi Julia, Thank you for the email. I will keep these in mind. I think I might consider further treatment again next year sometime. I'm just a little busy at present with Xmas and house hunting. Hopefully things will settle down in 2015. I definitely felt the benefits from the session that I had. Charlie also feels the same way. Have a great Xmas and New Year". Hannah ; visited Sept 2014

e mail from client 1/9/14:(Quoted in full):"Thanks for your message. You are an excellent therapist but I just find those machines fill me with gas and I don't get a thorough colonic. I prefer open systems or gravity systems that are on the wall. Thanks though."- Claire ( visited 2013)

e mail from client 25/8/14: ( Quoted in full)" I have received your email and I'm sorry for not responding. I do not have a PC.I also have forgotten my sign in email for wahanda. I have a few email account and I tried to find my password but none if the emails I register with wahada are coming up registered. So I am writing my review here (below).

Directly quoted Review of WLC': "The place is quite small, comfortable though. I hadn't tried any thing like colonic irrigation before so I was very nervous as it was my first time. I had read a lot so my expectations were high. I don't feel anything happened during the session. I don't feel I benefitted much from it after either. So I felt I had wasted my money.Julia was nice and gave me an intro to how the colonic irrigation works. I do hope to do it once more in the future sometime just to see if it's any different to my first experience. I read a lot of post with positive feedback so I'm not sure where I had gone wrong'." - L.Iq , visited July 2014

Dear julia, I have just spent over an hour trying over and over at least 10 times to register (on Wahanda), log in without success. I just can't deal with these passwords, etc. I'm totally stressed out and have given up, so am sending you my review via email separately. I think the problem is more to do with me and computers not getting on - rather than the site

Directly quoted Review of WLC: "I discovered Andreas Moritz's ener-chi.com web-site where he describes a holistic approach to taking responsibility for one s health, and in particular - the AMAZING LIVER AND GALLBLADDER FLUSH -which has to be done in conjunction with colonics before and after each flush. After some research I found the WLC reviews from clients very helpful in making my choice of clinic and I liked the way Julia took the time to respond to every reviewer. I was nervous about having the colonics but Julia was reassuring and her warm, positive personality put me at ease. After the initial appointment she recommended a course of 10 sessions. She is very professional and takes pride and care in what she does and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone wanting to do colon hydrotherapy." Paraphrased: A newbie to Colonics, decided to trial West London Colonics based on previous client reviews. Booked a treatment at short notice. About Julia: she put me at my ease straightaway, explaining the whole procedure stage by stage. I felt totally comfortable and at ease throughout the whole process. Benefit? After my session I definitely felt a difference and cleansed. Next step: will be booking a series of treatments to improve my well being for the future. Funkylady789, visited June 2014

Actual client quote:”My aim was and still is to get my body into balance, years of nutritional starvation, sleep deprivation, stress, emotional and physical abuse and everything else that goes with having fun in your youth started to take its toll on me in my early 30's, the importance of the Liver and Colon only came to my attention 2 years ago after reading several books. It all was leading to one thing, Colonics was the way forward, a very natural yet effective treatment which was quite common before the use of modern day antibiotics, I wanted to go back to basics, Julia listens to you, works with you on your goals, offers suggestions, advice and appointments at times to suit, the whole experience is pleasant, and I feel it's an integral part of achieving any health and fitness goal.:" back2basics; visited Dec2012 -last visit June2014 continuing client

Paraphrased:I was a first timer to colonics, apprehensive, hesitant, somewhat influenced by negative comments about the procedure I had read BUT wanted to Judge the experience for myself. About Julia: I knew straight away I was in good hands, when she called me post-booking, with treatment particulars, very knowledgeable, and such a calming voice. About the Treatment: it is conducted in a purpose built area and felt like I was in a spa, very professional. It was relaxing, soothing and a great experience. Paraphrased:First time colonics treatment, for me and my friend (we booked the couples deal ). About Julia: Exemplary communication before, during and after the appointment. She made treatment as relaxed and pleasant as she could. Making the appointment was very easy ,Julia was flexible with times and dates. My friend commends Julia's lovely nature and how she made you feel at ease during the treatment. After the treatment she said she felt really good, very light and better. About location: Nice, in a purpose built therapy room behind a residential bungalow in a quiet cul-de-sac with some lovely local greenery. Plenty of off-street parking; felt quite safe. It is not a reflection on Julia/West London Colonic, however the actual colonic proved a stressful event for me, although my friend found the treatment really good and her experience was a lot more of a positive experience than mine. I have made some suggestions for WLC to consider based on my experience. Whilst I'm not going to have this treatment again, my friend liked the treatment and might do this again. -freddy1978; visited March 2014

Paraphrased:I visited the clinic recently, it is in a strange location, ( a separate facility at the back of a bungalow) but very nice and relaxing. I was very satisfied with the treatment and service, my only comment is I had all the additional extras, herbs, stomach massage etc so it worked out quite expensive, but well worth it. Paraphrased: Seconding the majority of other reviews: Julia really does makes you feel at ease pre and during treatment - I was pleased with the colonic and would recommend to anyone to try a colonic at West London colonics. I had a really good experience at West London Colonics. Not having had this treatment before I was a little anxious however all of Julia's helpful information prior to the treatment was great and she made me feel very calm and relaxed during the treatment. I didn't feel too different after the session but Julia did say you sometimes need to build up the treatments. I would recommend a trip to West London Colonics

Paraphrased:My first colonics experience- really happy with all of it. Julia: welcoming & friendly; put me at ease. Clinic: warm, clean & very modern. Plenty of relevant info provided, on the phone and by e-mail, before treatment & after. It helped speaking with Julia on the phone before my treatment. Nice tiredness let me sleep well- noticed boost in energy thereafter. I found helpful: Information. Probiotics, Pre session massage, in–session herbs. Definitely recommend WLC. Paraphrased:Centre is a specially built space in a residential garden. It is very clean and tidy, fully equipped.Julia is knowledgeable, professional very calming, easy to talk to. I got the stomach massage first, so relaxing, I was so much at ease I nearly fell asleep! Calming music in the background too. Colonic feels a bit strange at first but you get used to it and Julia was reassuring in her explanations. Session lasted 45mins / 1 hour. Felt amazingly full of energy straight afterwards. Yes, I did get tired about an hour afterwards and had a really good nights sleep. When I booked, Julia was very clear about the costs of the massage, colonic, herbs and probiotics so I knew upfront what the exact cost would be in advance (to take up any additional services). This information is also on the website. Easy and pleasant to deal with Julia at WLC; will definitively be repeating :) - eleda79; visited March 2014

Paraphrased:Both Colonics & Julia are brilliant. Julia is: Welcoming, professional and experienced, trustworthy, knowledgeable, appropriately conversational, cheerleader for my colon, generous spirited. This review is after having had 9 visits (though WLC is miles away from me). “Clinic is always warm, spotlessly clean and filled with relaxing music. ”Benefits? “Regular colonics definitely helped regulate my digestive system and I really do leave each time feeling lighter, freer and grateful….What’s not to like?! Paraphrased: Report on my first ever-colonic hydrotherapy session:' I had it with West London Colonics …I am ‘now officially hooked!’ From booking an appointment right through to post treatment WLC ‘customer service and professionalism has been impressive’ … highly recommend them.

About Julias’ approach:' Julia did everything she could to ensure to target my session to best help me overcome the issues I face based on a real consideration of my past (medical history.

My experience and results:' While the session was mildly uncomfortable at times (given my severe constipation), results have been unbelievably positive… ‘Instantly felt lighter, more energetic and generally happier all over’. Experienced bounce- out -of bed energy levels next day… much reduced stomachaches after eating meals and reduction in constipation….

Further plans:' Intend to have further sessions to further enhance the benefits I experienced of my first session.

Paraphrased: My backstory:' At the beginning of Jan 2014 I started a ‘homegrown’ detox with herbs for recurrent eczema condition (‘skin is irritated as the body struggles to clear out toxins normally and comes through the skin)’. My "Detox" plan incorporates lifestyle & dietary changes. 'Colonic treatment:' Decided to incorporate colonics into my plan, initially intending to do just one colonic. However, based on results I have signed up to a course of 3 in addition to the first session. Julia is very professional and good with calming any anxieties. Can’t say its a comfortable experience, but ‘its all fine’ in the context of the treatment. Very informative. ‘I'm amazed at what your stools can reveal about the quality of your health … Do give it (colonics) a try... I guarantee you'll be in good hands with Julia’. Continuing positive changes:' I find myself generally more concerned with what I'm eating and water intake, (I now ‘drink around 2 litres of water daily (normally my liquid intake would be in the form of coffee and alcohol)’.

'About my skin:' ‘…the problem persists but I'm only 3 weeks in. Am confident I'm on the right track … - iPood, Visited Jan 2014

OK ,THAT'S IT WITH THE SUMMARY REVIEWS

Enough information to make your booking? Great. I look forward to serving you. However, If you have read up to this point - and are wavering… Read on. You may feel strongly, intuitively that colonics are right for you, that they might work for you. But a part of you may be fearful as well– your imagination may be working at high speed (and most probably quite wrongly) about what the procedure entails. Don’t let your fears override your intuitions. A good principle in life– never mind this particular situation– is let nothing interfere with taking immediate action. Making a change that might fundamentally shift things for the better warrants no delay. Things won’t improve whilst you wait. Don’t make doing nothing an option. Really. It’s not a good one. Take some simple action at any rate.

  • Why not phone me to talk things through
  • Or e -mail me.
  • Or go to WLC website and look at the articles/ info pieces we have posted there. Get informed about the colonics point of view.
  • Dont postpone your action decision. If you say “ I will come back to this”, the sad reality is you may never do so. Take the action now so you can make an informed choice rather than a default decision based on fears not confronted. As the incomparable Susan Jeffers put it: (By all means)“ Feel the fear- and do it anyway” Most newbies to Colonics, after they have their first session with me, say “You know what, I wish I had done this a lot earlier!”

WHAT DOES PEAK PERFORMANCE EXPERT TONY ROBBINS SAY ABOUT FEAR?

(By the way he is a an advocate of colonics.) “If you look at what holds people back from expanding and deepening the quality of their lives, what prevents them from taking the actions that are necessary to transform their body, relationships, career, business : invariably, it’s fear – of failure, of success, of rejection, of pain and of the unknown.” -Tony Robbins

WE APPRECIATE OUR RATING BUT DON'T TAKE IT FOR GRANTED

As at Sept 2014, West London Colonics are amongst the top rated facilty listed on Wahanda for price & popularity for colon hydrotherapy services. No other listed colonics clinic has as many reviews relating solely to the colonics service. We have an averaged 4.6 out of 5 star rating based on 70 reviews, but more to the point we have an engaged clientele of reviewers, who care about giving high quality feedback to prospective users.

About professional association: ARCH and CNHC

The Association & Register of Colonic Hydrotherapists (ARCH) is the best established colonic association in Europe and has the largest number of members. I am a member in good standing. It’s generally acknowledged that it sets the bar in terms of standards and is the leading & authoritative voice for the profession in the UK.

Users of colon hydrotherapy services provided by ARCH members have the reassurance of knowing that their therapist must have been trained as either a medical doctor, nurse or has had 2 years in a substantial complementary therapy (in addition to their training as a colon hydro therapy in an approved school) before they qualify for membership.

ARCH has always been at the forefront of progress in the profession and has pushed for links with other related bodies.

For instance it became a member of the General Naturopathic Council (GNC) in 2004. All ARCH members are Naturopathic Colonic Hydrotherapists.

ARCH are also associated with the IBS network. http://www.theibsnetwork.org/

I am also voluntarily a personal member of CNHC. CNHC is a government funded body which exists to offer public accountability of the complementary therapists that it registers. You can find me on http://www.cnhcregister.org.uk/newsearch/index.cfm

I've had a very good experience with Julia and her clinic so far. I first visited at the end of 2015 after finding I was very tired after eating meals, especially carbs. I suspected this might be related to some amoebic dystentry I picked up in Africa several years ago and I had heard colonics could be of benefit. After five sessions my symptoms have cleared up completely, my overall health and vitality have improved a lot and I feel I'm able to appreciate good food and drink more too. Julia is warm, friendly and completely professional throughout and, this being my first experience of a colonic, she put my nerves at ease straight away and helped me with some further info and advice after several of the sessions. Highly recommended.

Having a colonic is a very private affair, after all where else would you ever poo in front of somebody else. Therefore it is imperative that the therapist you choose makes you feel comfortable for release to take place. This is where Julia excels and ensures that the whole process is comfortable and effortless. She is professional but also informal in her approach. Her place is easy to get too, though be mindful of busy traffic times as its located off the A40. Parking is never an issue as there is always an availabe space on her drive. Highly recommended.

There wasn't a sign pointing towards the entrance, so with two entrances visible it was a little confusing knowing which door to knock. I knocked the main front door and a sweet lady directed me to around the back of the bungalow. Walking down the garden path it was homely, but once inside, the treatment room had a calm ambience, is very well organised and private. I almost felt that I should remove my shoes just inside - actually I would have preferred to as I prefer not standing with bare feet in a bath room where I and others have walked in with outside shoes. Julia was warm, very welcoming and also went to every extent to ensure my comfort, and apart from a little slip, the treatment went well.

Afterwards Julia spoke about follow up treatments and supplements. I visited using a voucher so the fee was very reasonable and I'd like to have the monthly or so treatments suggested, but realistically any future treatments would have to be more spaced out.

The pre-treatment advice received on what to expect and supplements that would be available was very useful. Supplements may be cheaper than elsewhere, however do push the costs up a bit.

Just one other thing,.... on reading other reviews about missed appointments....my appointment was changed last minute due to a confusion with the confirmation email and so had to rearrange a busy day. I didn't think much on it at the time, but I do agree it's right that clients should forfeit a fee for missed appointments, however, probably clients should receive some kind of concession if there's a change that's not their fault. For example, an extra 5 or 10 minutes at the end of my session might have been useful; and I might have pushed my time schedule back, but not for the extra cost requested.

Julia's an excellent and knowledgeable therapist so overall I would recommend.

The results of the treatment were very positive and it was good value.

I visited West London Colonics during the Christmas party season when I was feeling sluggish and not myself. This was my first time having the procedure and Julia made me feel at ease straight away. The atmosphere is the room was very relaxed and I was given advice on my current health choices and Julia highlighted areas for improvement. I felt a lot better after the procedure and I would highly recommend a visit to West London Colonics. It is a very relaxed and professional environment!

I am not a newcomer to Colonics having previously had a couple at the Hale clinic, in Central London; however West London Colonics (WLC) at Northolt suits me better being local to me, and easy to get to.

I have been a regular at WLC since December last year, since when I have had 6 sessions, roughly at 2 monthly intervals.

I have a job I enjoy, but it entails a lot of flying which I have found plays havoc with my digestion, leading me to have a bloated feeling. I had been looking for things to help me manage this unfortunate effect, and I find that colonic treatments are helpful. The evidence of the colonic outflow tube clearly shows that regular treatments are definitely cleansing, and act like a system tune-up. I definitely feel the better for it.

The advantage with colonics, as opposed to taking 'over the counter' medications (for bloating et al), is that the latter stop working after a while, and they don't really help to strengthen the digestive/ eliminative system, whilst colonics do.

I have experimented with having Green coffee implants and it works well for me.

Assalamu Alaiqum Wa Rehmatullah Wa Barakatuhu = May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be with you.

I experienced enema back in 2004, 2008 and 2010 and it has never ever been so comfortable as here in West London Colonics.

The location is very welcoming and Julia is very welcoming. In her emails and in person. She double checked in a sweet way if I was comfortable. The first session was very comfortable, I had no pain whatsoever. I have been juice fasting and water fasting and drinking green smoothies more often since 2013. I had a relaxing massage for my belly and during the colonic Julia massaged my belly also to get things moving.

Not much came out on the table, but afterwards hell broke loose in the toilet. This could happen, Julia had already explained to me.

The next day I felt energetic and I looked into the mirror and maybe it was my imagination but my belly was less bloated.

The second session 3 days later, I had herbs in the water and also coffee. To detox liver. I felt a bit of tingling all over, but we had such a lovely conversation about life and how health should not be taken for granted that I was feeling very comfortable.

I am now on my 5th day of water fasting and I feel very energetic, even though I got the flu and a bit of fever and my voice is gone. I had pain in my tailbone and back pain when we started the first session. The next day the pain was almost half. And yesterday after the session I felt so relaxed and energetic at the same time. Today I am feeling lighter and I hope to come back again for a few session after my year abroad.

If you're feeling a bit sluggish and you don't know why, I would recommend a colonic at West London Colonics. I've been through a programme and am now on a regular periodic maintenance programme, and I feel wonderful.

I have MS, and I am in a wheelchair. My husband had recently (3months ago) undergone a hernia operation. I was very keen to experience my first colonic, and my husband wanted to support me, and join me in also having a treatment.
We contacted WLC because we live near Northolt and after reading many positive reviews. We decided to take advantage of the current discounted offer for couples.
We telephoned Julia, who explained the procedure to us, and also told us that it was too soon after my husband's operation to have a colonic, however, he could have a enema which would be 'just as good'. Julia sent us a medical questionnaire by email, which we both filled in, and returned before our visit.
On the morning of the treatments, we arrived in good time. We had been told that we could park in the drive, which was close to the treatment room. Julia came out to the car to greet us, and made us feel very welcome.
My husband pushed me in my wheelchair, while Julia lead the way. The treatment room was clean and had an adjoining toilet and changing area.
My husband was first. Julia took a detailed and comprehensive history before he was asked to change into the gown provided, and then get on the treatment couch. I was able to see the tube that was being inserted, and it really was much smaller than I had imagined. The water pressure used during enema was much less pressurized than the hydrated colonic, however, it was still very effective. We could see everything that was coming out of his colon, and Julia explained what everything was. It was a bit like 'the generation game' as items passed by your eyes that were once the contents of your colon. After his enema, He went to the toilet for a final bowel movement, and then came out with a smile on his face, which he still has 5 days later.
I was next. Julia discussed my medical history/questionnaire with me. Because of my mobility problems it was more difficult to get me on the couch, but we managed with a small wooden step, and everyone 'mucking in'. Julia was very concerned that I was comfortable at all times, an kept talking the whole time, so there was little or no embarrassment.
The insertion of the tube was not painful, just uncomfortable. Once I was able to see the contents of my colon floating away through a glass tube, I became more concerned about was I was going to see next!
After the colonic, I had a bowel movement, followed by a great sense of well-being.
My husband and I are converts, and will be having more colonic/enemas in the future.
Julia is very knowledgeable, caring, gentle and professional - What she don't know about the colon and bowel movements is not worth knowing.

The experience I had with Julia at West London Colonics from the initial telephone appointment review through to the completion of the colonic treatment was exemplary. Julia's attention to detail, concern for my wellbeing as a client and the administering of the treatment itself was reassuring and made for a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

I would not hesitate to recommend West London Colonics as the first choice to make a booking for this type of wellbeing support service. I did not have any specific digestive medical condition I required help with. My primary motive for the treatment was to cleanse of my digestive tract, so don't think you only need to have a colonic treatment to help with an established digestion related medical condition. I was surprised by how much superfluous material was released from my colon during one colonic treatment, which underpinned the importance of such cleansing procedures.

Had my colonic a few weeks ago due to suffering from bloating (the last year plus), insomnia, feeling sluggish and many other issues. Julia was very helpful days before the treatment was due, emailing me to ensure I fill in the relevant paperwork to save time on the day, clear address directions and pre treatment guidance. When I arrived Julia helped me with directions and there was also secure parking in her driveway. We went through my problems one by one and then you are led to the very clean facilities so you can change/visit the bathroom, I opted for the pre-abdominal massage to help me relax before hand and also to help with the treatment. The treatment itself for first timers is a strange feeling however I began to relax very quickly and Julia was very helpful with this - I also opted for herbs as this was my first time (the pre-abdominal and herbs are additional costs however as it was my first time I wanted to try this). After the treatment is done you are able to use the bathroom again/get changed. I can honestly say since changing my diet and the help of the colonic for the first time in years I had no bloating and felt 'normal' again! I am going back in two weeks to have another session before my holiday and will be having more to come. Thanks jUlia

I shall endeavour to keep to the advice and hope to achieve my goals set otherwise this treatment will not work. I would recommend having this treatment atleast once.

This is a repeat visit and Julia is always so welcoming and makes you feel at ease. After the treatment Julia sits down with you and suggests changes to your everyday diet in order to support a detox. Thanks Julia!

Please, if there is anyone out there who is thinking of going for a colonic, but is afraid or worried, please don't be. Went to see Julia about nine months ago, as was feeling very sluggish, bloated, and generally unwell. Signed up for a course and have never looked back. Yes, it takes a bit of getting used to, and it's an unusual experience, but much easier than you think. The whole experience is very dignified and calming in a funny sort of way. I felt much better every time I went and now go for maintenance colonics every few months. It has helped me no end and I would thoroughly recommend it.

For anyone thinking about Colonic Hydrotherapy , don't think about t, just book. West London Colonics is a very personable experience , as well as being discreet. Directions are spot on, and Julia, the therapist would put anyone at ease and all is explained in a professional manner by her calming and professional manner. I would recommend the abdominal massage as incredibly soothing and peaceful.
Thanks Julia.

I had a colonic at this ladies house - sadly a bad experience. Very pushy on the sales tactics, so I wouldn't say this was a relaxing or a comfortable experience. Infact, it reminded me of a Ryan Air flight, cheap booking and bombarded with extras or additional bookings to buy in advance (even when you are unaware of a convenient date but promised you are able to change the date). Requested to change the date, I was advised that it would be a full cancellation charge but could attend another session at a discount..cheeky! My advice would be go elsewhere professional, with a satisfactory customer service policy

Context-continued (3)

I then followed up with the client a few days later with the following e-mail:
“Hope you are now feeling better.

Very occasionally when clients miss a treatment, and incur a financial cost as a result, their motivation to continue with treatments takes a hit!
Why that should be I don't really know, because the therapeutic need continues to exist. And the financial advantages also continue.
I hope you would want to continue, and thought I should note if you use the detox1 plan, if you pay £34 ( the reduced cost for next session) and then another reduced payment of £34 each, you'd have 2 treatments for a total of £68 pounds.

I want you to know I value you as a client, and therefore I go much further than other clinics to be of service. The fact that I must place a monetary value on the missed treatment does not take away from my service ethos; it only reflects that I have the self-respect that my time & expertise is also valuable. I try and deliver the best value I can, recognising that price is only one dimension of value. Caring counts for a lot as well! I look forward to hearing from you.
Might I also ask you to review WLC, either at this point, or later? Thanks: I am committed to receiving feedback from clients - at whatever point in their treatment cycle they choose to give it. High, intermediate or low point."

The client e - mailed :
“I definitely won't be able to make the appointment so please use this if someone requires one at short notice. I've had to leave work early ... my head is throbbing and I feel the symptoms of an infection ….. I don't live locally and it's not wise for me to drive on the motorway.
I'll let you know if I want to rebook. If you manage to fill my slot, is it possible for me to rebook at no additional cost?”

To which I responded:
“Thanks for letting me know.
I hope you will feel better for the rest. I understand why you do not feel able to attempt the journey to the clinic.
As for trying to fill the slot, I am afraid that is impractical since I will be starting to see clients for the rest of the evening, so I am not able to put in the time to chase down possible client uptakes for a short notice appointment.
I hope you will think it worthwhile to rebook once you are feeling better. The indications are positive for continuance of treatments. Take care. ”

This is only WLC’s second ever 1* review out of the 100 or so reviews we have received.

So, I have looked into the background to this client review to see if there are lessons I can learn from it, and to establish context.

Readers then have a basis for forming their own opinion.

Firstly, our Pricing approach: WLC is very transparent about the pricing basis, and believe we deliver what we promise: a value for money& quality service. (Happily, as you will see from other client reviews, most reviewers agree, and are more than happy).

We offer the most comprehensive description of our services of any to be found on the Wahanda portal, with no hidden extras.

[Note: the client booked a follow up treatment, notwithstanding the comments that it wasn’t a relaxing experience.]

Secondly, our Cancellation & Rescheduling policy: This is clearly stated on our Wahanda page, our website, during the first colonic briefing & in our Welcome e-mails. We want to ensure that clients are fully aware of our approach, which compares favourably with that of many other clinics.

Now the context:

The client asked to change her appointment on the morning of the appointment date reporting she was feeling unwell.

I Responded:
“I am sorry you are feeling unwell. Only you will know whether you'd be up to having a colonic. If it's a case of feeling nauseous, or out of sorts; often times, a colonic really helps. As it does with colds/ flus.
As you know, a cancellation at this short notice stage would forfeit the appointment.
In the circumstances, I am nevertheless willing for you to defer the appointment, on the basis of a payment of £34 pounds for the next appointment, i.e. half the fee. It's an attempt to be flexible in the situation.
I hope you will understand my position, as the appointment slot represents a cost to me in terms of a lost opportunity to serve a client.
Take care, and please let me know what you'd like to do. Warm Wishes.”

Clarification of Context (4)
Since the review above was left under a user name, I have double- checked my records again to ascertain identity, and think it’s likely that the review was left by another client (than the one I originally thought it might be):

The text of my e -mail to this other client, follows:

“Dear…, I am sorry that over-running work commitments yesterday meant you were unable to make it to the appointment. About rescheduling the session, I have left you a text message.
Of course I would be happy to see you, however you'll understand that I am not able to reschedule without charge. … I understand (in general) that clients are not likely to be happy to be charged for a service they missed.

We therefore work very hard to present a balanced well informed view to clients.
Very importantly, we tell all clients about our cancellation/ rescheduling policy upfront - on our Wahanda business page, on our website & also on our Welcome instructions sent with the first session instructions. We clearly explain why we have to charge for short notice cancellations / no shows. We don't hide behind small print.
I also mention it in the initial booking conversation with clients.
When clients don't attend, for whatever reason, without 24 hr notice, I have little opportunity to try and fill the cancelled slot….( In your case I was physically in the clinic waiting for you).
• Generally, we are strict in enforcing our policy - clients who don't attend get charged the whole session fee, since the whole of the session time is a largely 'unusable' time for me in terms of client related activity.
I know you were looking forward to the treatment...
In the circumstances I will treat you as an exception. I propose the following offer, as a way forward, a substantial concessionary departure from our policy:
If you'd like to book another appointment, you may do so for a reduced price of £…”
