I've had a very good experience with Julia and her clinic so far. I first visited at the end of 2015 after finding I was very tired after eating meals, especially carbs. I suspected this might be related to some amoebic dystentry I picked up in Africa several years ago and I had heard colonics could be of benefit. After five sessions my symptoms have cleared up completely, my overall health and vitality have improved a lot and I feel I'm able to appreciate good food and drink more too. Julia is warm, friendly and completely professional throughout and, this being my first experience of a colonic, she put my nerves at ease straight away and helped me with some further info and advice after several of the sessions. Highly recommended.
Having a colonic is a very private affair, after all where else would you ever poo in front of somebody else. Therefore it is imperative that the therapist you choose makes you feel comfortable for release to take place. This is where Julia excels and ensures that the whole process is comfortable and effortless. She is professional but also informal in her approach. Her place is easy to get too, though be mindful of busy traffic times as its located off the A40. Parking is never an issue as there is always an availabe space on her drive. Highly recommended.
There wasn't a sign pointing towards the entrance, so with two entrances visible it was a little confusing knowing which door to knock. I knocked the main front door and a sweet lady directed me to around the back of the bungalow. Walking down the garden path it was homely, but once inside, the treatment room had a calm ambience, is very well organised and private. I almost felt that I should remove my shoes just inside - actually I would have preferred to as I prefer not standing with bare feet in a bath room where I and others have walked in with outside shoes. Julia was warm, very welcoming and also went to every extent to ensure my comfort, and apart from a little slip, the treatment went well.
Afterwards Julia spoke about follow up treatments and supplements. I visited using a voucher so the fee was very reasonable and I'd like to have the monthly or so treatments suggested, but realistically any future treatments would have to be more spaced out.
The pre-treatment advice received on what to expect and supplements that would be available was very useful. Supplements may be cheaper than elsewhere, however do push the costs up a bit.
Just one other thing,.... on reading other reviews about missed appointments....my appointment was changed last minute due to a confusion with the confirmation email and so had to rearrange a busy day. I didn't think much on it at the time, but I do agree it's right that clients should forfeit a fee for missed appointments, however, probably clients should receive some kind of concession if there's a change that's not their fault. For example, an extra 5 or 10 minutes at the end of my session might have been useful; and I might have pushed my time schedule back, but not for the extra cost requested.
Julia's an excellent and knowledgeable therapist so overall I would recommend.
