We had a nice day at village spa and the treatments were excellent. If we had booked directly with village hotel we could have saved £60, which was quite annoying to say the least.
Lovely treatments and lunch was great. Disappointed that the hot spa was closed for our whole visit. Other than that the rest of the spa day was good.
Had a spa day bought for me for an Xmas present . There was 3 of us . 2 booked in for 25 min back neck and shoulders and 25 mins leg ankle and foot massage. And one 25 min facial and 25 foot leg and ankle. We were all blown away by the treatments . All of us had a lovely Russian lady , unfortunately I didn't get her name . If that's enough description I would thoroughly recommend her as her massages are incredible !
Used my Tesco clubcard vouchers for an ESPA facial (55 minutes) and fully expected to have a second rate service. How wrong I was, the staff were friendly and professional, the facial superb. Often having had a facial, when it comes to the mask you can be left for 5 minutes, but instead I was given a head massage, fantastic. Came away feeling so relaxed. Thank you Viva Urban Spa, I will be back.
I bought this as a 50th birthday present for my mum to have some de-stressing time. I am very disappointed and frustrated about how she was treated on her supposed 'spa day'. The spa reception was actually closed? and the staff downstairs were completely clueless and had no idea what they were doing. They didn't even know they did spa days! Wasting so much time asking a series of people what to do, in the end my mum asked can I just go to the pool where is it, they just said 'yeah that's a good idea, the pool is over there'. She told me her treatments were ok so nothing to complain about there. When going for lunch again they said 'the restaurant is that way' and they'd find out what's meant to happen. At lunch she was asked how she was paying and had to explain that it was a pre-paid spa day. After a rubbish morning my mum received food poisoning from her meal at lunch and spent the rest of the day ill and feeling rather disappointed! I chose this hotel due to it's good past reviews but cannot believe how my mum was treated and how the staff were so clueless. I have even written to the hotel via their website as they don't even have a phone contact number on there but haven't even received a reply!
