Worst haircut of my life, would not recommend this place to anyone. They refused to refund me but offered an Olaplex treatment instead, which I declined because I don't want to go back there.
Treatwell were helpful in liaising with the salon about my complaint, but can't insist that the salon refunds me.
- The hairdresser cut in layers that I did not ask for. I am growing out my hair to donate it and I do not want to lose length. I told this to the hairdresser before he cut it.
- Burnt my scalp with a hairdryer which had smoke coming out of it. I told him it was burning my head but he carried on using it until another hairdresser told him to stop. Then used another hairdryer that was less hot but held together with gaffer tape.
- Burnt my face with the hot barrel brush. I told the hairdresser it was too hot and he stopped using the barrel brush.
- Did not ask where I put my parting (the side) but put a wonky one in roughly in the centre.
- Asked how long I wanted my fringe cut. I don't have a fringe.
- When washing my hair, asked about the temperature, to which I said I wanted it warmer, because it was too cold. Temperature was not adjusted - I just had a cold hair wash.

This was worth every penny!
I appreciated that Val and her team took the time to message me and let me know that my stylist would be late. The salon was busy, so there was a little more waiting than I would have liked, but I was offered tea and the staff were so friendly that I didn't mind. In addition, to make up for lost time, they had two stylist blow drying and straightening my hair, which meant I was out there in no time. Another wonderful touch was that I was given a face mask to make sure that I didn't inhale the fumes from the Brazilian blowout (top class!).
Generally a wonderful experience, I found it awesome that they knew how to manage afro hair (many hair salons that do all types of hair tend not to) and I am sure to go back as soon as my blowout gets old.
