I booked a manicure and Shellac polish. It seemed that they had slightly overbooked themselves as I was waiting for a good 30mins before someone had time to begin my manicure; but thankfully I wasn't in a hurry and spend some time to explore the hundreds of colours on offer. The lady who eventually started my manicure is usually exclusively doing pedicures...and it somewhat showed. Probably more used to rough skin and callouses on feet, she was rather careless with my nails, deeply cutting into my skin twice while aiming to shorten my nails. One of these cuts into the skin on my left ring finger since got infected and is rather painful now which is why I am typing this review with only 9 fingers.
When I asked her to please be a bit more careful, after having cried out in pain a couple of times (which she completely ignored), she pretended not to understand and the manager had to translate for her. Even after he did, she failed to voice a simple "Sorry." Enough said.
After the manicure, the manager (a different manager to the usual one - this one seemed polite, caring and competent) took over, corrected where nails had been left at different length before applying the Shellac nail polish. That bit of the treatment deserves 5stars. I wished he had had time to do my manicure as well.
Excellent service, Lyn is very good and fun, she makes conversation and is very friendly. The guy at reception is also very jolly and mKed sure you are looked after. Thank you
It was advertised as a pedicure, however it was not a full pedicure and was a shorter version. It was a good polish but I had to ask them to put an extra coat on another toe to cover a bruise which they shouldn't have needed telling.
