Thought it could do with a good overall and update. One of the staff was quite rude to my daughter so don’t think we will be coming again. Dave in the restaurant was brilliant best bit of the day.
Very disappointed with our spa day it was a present for our 25th wedding anniversary spa area dirty ,steam room door broken ,no keys for men’s locks had to get a pad lock , hole in towel and treatment was not good couldn’t relax as girl doing it was telling me her life story not what I wanted very sad about this visit also took 1 hr 15 mins for our food to come to table once order 😢
This is the 2nd time I’ve visited the hotel & Spa as we loved it the 1st time. However the second stay was very different. I called the day before to confirm our treatment booking and Sara who I spoke to was so rude & very unhelpful.
Upon arrival we was greeted by Stuart who was so lovely & welcoming, he checked us in and directed us to our rooms. We stayed in the “new rooms” which we was all excited about as we stayed in the old part last time. The room was smaller but modern and had everything we needed for 1 night. We started to unpack and the room was too hot, we opened the window & let it open while we used the spa area. When returning to the room it was hotter than ever. We checked the radiators & made sure they was all off. The pillows was rock hard & the overall evening was ruined by how uncomfortable we was and the heat. None of us slept! When checking out we bumped in to the couple that was staying in room 1 & they asked if we had slept as it was far too hot, we all said no.
We also had a 3 course meal which the food was beautiful presented & tasted wonderful we all have our feedback to the chef Anita. However this too was clouded by the misery of our waiter Chris. He just didn’t want to be there.
Stuart served us drinks in the bar area & really made us feel welcome & comfortable - thank you
By far the best staff member you have is Dave in the breakfast area! He is such an asset to the hotel he is the most helpful, polite, and warm employee I had the pleasure of meeting. He was fab & if you do employee of the month etc he should defiantly get it!
