Warm welcome by staff on arrival . Offered a ground floor room after being allocated a top floor room initially as we are not quite as mobile as we should like . On return from after dinner walk we were informed of a problem with the spa , that required access to our room ,and so we were offered another ground floor room and a complementary drink . Apart from changing rooms three times in our two day stay , we found the Manor House to be well equipped and staff very obliging .
Very enjoyable night, I was quite shocked on how quiet it was for a Friday night, plenty of room at the pool, plenty of chairs/loungers to sit on, only a hand full of people at the gym, pool and jacuzzi area. We had food which was lovely, cooked fresh and we had the place to ourselves.Treatments were on time, my therapist was amazing, talked and gave me advise on a shoulder complaint. I paid extra for a body mask, well worth it with the exfoliation treatment and massage and afterwards my body felt so soft and smelt lovely. I would go again and even on a Friday night.
So the welcome was really nice - I wasn't very comfortable leaving my driving licence as a deposit for the robes though! Overall the spa and facilities were quite dated and also dirty, but the friendliness of the staff both in the spa and the restaurant was very good.
